White House sources said today that President Obama may soon propose legislation that would save Americans billions of dollars each year while improving service by creating a ‘public option’ version of the federal government.

Too funny, Scott! As usual, you hit the nail squarely on the head. I just can't figure out why people don't wake up to the lunacy of these ideas. Keep up the GREAT work! (:D)

Very amusing Mr. Ott!

Lunacy? This sounds like a wonderful plan. Let's hope Scott can get elected and get the ball rolling…

So is this why Obama told the grade school kids to stay in school, to cut down on legitimate competition?
Indiana has two Senators, one Democrat and one Republican, that I would gladly trade in for a couple of fifth graders.

You must not like those 5th graders much

I guess I wasn't thinking of what I was putting them in for. You are right, I wouldn't wish being a politician on anyone. Scott is one brave soul to give of himself for a pretty thankless job.
At least it is thankless for the good ones like Scott. There are a few there but not many!

Taxing the Taxman's taxes.
What a hoot. Until, that is, I get the real-time image of us eating ourselves-literally-and the time is like now, today.

So, would this work like "Long Distance Service" options where you choose in advance who gets to automatically overcharge you, or would this be more like "Press 1 for Robbers, Press 2 for Thieves, etc." each time you want a government service?
Hey, come to think of it, when was the last time taxpayers were allowed to choose which "services" they wanted?

JL3, we may be closer to that than people realize. Inflation is, in effect, "taxing the taxman's taxes," with the bill going right back to the taxpayers!
