After 5 months America STILL doesn’t know who Barack Hussein Obama is! Probably because he is ALWAYS defining himself as someone else, (Lincoln, FDR, JFK, Reagan, etc)! He IS a lot like FDR and Jimmy Carter in his “copycat” policies that will also fail!

Hopefully he will take Michael Jackson’s advise and “Beat It”!

Seriously, People SHOULD wonder about a person who so often compares himself to others including, (although “thinned veiled”), our SAVIOR, Jesus! What does that say about Barack Hussein Obama, if he is NOT his own man and only defines himself as being LIKE someone else?

  • 4 Laughing@You // Jun 30, 2009 at 4:19 pm

In the eight years of the Idiot Emperor’s reign, Dumbyah often compared himself to Harry Truman!

Sometimes he compared himself to Teddy Roosevelt, and even to Abrahan Lincoln.

But, I always thought of him as more like a really dumb Richard Nixon. Or, at least the way one old Democrat saw him.

“Richard Nixon is a no good, lying [deleted]. He can lie out of both sides of his mouth at the same time, and if he ever caught himself telling the truth, he’d lie just to keep his hand in.” ~ Harry S. Truman

“I do not believe there is a problem in this country or the world today which could not be settled if approached through the teaching of the Sermon on the Mount.” ~ Harry S. Truman

    Everthink?

RAM, have you ever heard of the Sermon on the Mount?

The contrast between Sotomayor’s empathy and the High Court’s apathy is stunning. It’s as though the Justices ruled on the basis of laws instead of feelings.

  • 7 gafisher // Jun 30, 2009 at 8:55 pm

Sotomayor’s confirmation is pretty well guaranteed now that Al Franken has been awarded a Senate seat. As one of the tiny minority of Democrat Senators who has actually worked for a living at one point in his lifetime, Franken holds the ironic position of bringing to a caucus of useful idiots who have always been useless, a certifiably useless idiot who has had a brief but close brush with usefulness.

  • 8 Laughing@You // Jun 30, 2009 at 11:07 pm

Hell hath no fury like a wise latina activist liberal judge scorned!

Interesting how the economy started tanking once the Democrats began making anti-free market noise and running the Congress in early 2007. Talk about stupid is is stupid does! And what’s even more stupid are the Obamabots who refuse to see the obvious about the tanking economy. I hold them personally responsible for the missing half of my nest egg … the egg suckers that they are! And yes, thems fightin’ words!

  • 11 Darthmeister // Jul 1, 2009 at 9:28 am

Just received this email from a formerly liberal pastor who is now fed up with the liars and closet fascists in the Demoncrat Party (and the national socialist media):

A tourist walked into a Chinese curio shop in San Francisco. While looking around at the exotic merchandise, he noticed a very lifelike, life-sized, bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but was so incredibly striking the tourist decided he must have it. He took it to the old shop owner and asked, “How much for the bronze rat?”

“Ahhh, you have chosen wisely! It is $12 for the rat, $100 for the story,” said the wise old Chinaman. The tourist quickly pulled out twelve dollars. “I’ll just take the rat, you can keep the story.”

As he walked down the street carrying his bronze rat, the tourist noticed that a few real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and had begun following him down the street. This was a bit disconcerting so he began walking faster.

A couple blocks later he looked behind him and saw to his horror the herd of rats behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing.

Sweating now, the tourist began to trot toward the Bay. Again, after a couple blocks, he looked around only to discover that the rats now numbered in the MILLIONS, and were squealing and coming toward him faster and faster.

Terrified, he ran to the edge of the Bay and threw the bronze rat as far as he could into the Bay.

Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the Bay after the bronze rat, and were all drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop in Chinatown.

“Ahhh,” said the owner, “You have come back for story?”

“No sir,” said the man, “I came back to see if you have a bronze Democrat.”

The clown Al Franken will be joining the rest of the Democrat clowns in the U.S. Congress. On one level I’m glad the Donks have a supermajority so that they will officially own the entire train wreck which is happening on ObamaMarx’s watch.

Majority of Minnesota voters don’t remember voting for Franken .

Interesting, a real ringing endorsement of this joke of a “Senator”. However, it could be a majority of Minnesotans DIDN’T vote for Franken and the numerous recounts - where the Democratic contender mysteriously keeps picking up more votes with each recount … just like the Governor of Washington state in 2004 and Ahmadaboutjihad in Iran - demonstrate the ability of Democrats to stealthily steal elections thanks to compliant national socialist media “scrutiny.”

Remember, back in November of 2008, I predicted that despite Coleman’s initial win by nearly a 1000 votes, the Democratic machine will find a way to steal the Minnesota election with “newly discovered” and double-counted votes as well as disqualifying some of Coleman’s votes. It was so cleverly done that not even Coleman himself had a clue, along with his moronic cadre of lawyers who actually trusted the political process in Minnesota! My concerns about the pervasiveness of Democratic corruption throughout the election process are now vindicated.

I would expect no less than the most heinous heresy and blasphemy from a despicable, God-hating, traitorous, degenerate liar.

  • 23 boberinyetagain // Jul 1, 2009 at 2:14 pm

I’d predict that God sits in judgement of us. Any disagreement?
I’d go further and say that God does not hold Amercans in much higher regard than any other of His creations (argument welcomed but don’t see how one can be made)
I’d say that God, given the lack of higher regard, is amused by America consuming way, way, way, way more than our fair share of available resources.
But, we’ve had this discussion many many times before.
Y’all feel that we “earned more” are “entitled to more”.
I suppose it could be said that we “agree to disagree” and further that it’ll be that same God that explains His thoughts to each of us personally, soon enough.

JL3, you exhibit the same God like quality in your statements that have passed your lips many times before. I predict that God is reserving an “extra special” chat with you but again, I’ll continue to (as much as humanly possible) “turn the other cheek” and let nature take it’s course.
But, please know that I love you, really I do. Your comments lift me in a way that few others can.

  • 24 boberinyetagain // Jul 1, 2009 at 2:20 pm

upnorth, while I appreciate that you feel me powerful enough to “drag the top down” I must confess that it isn’t me that’s doing it…an “unseen force” is.
As for bringing the “bottom up” I’d say we’ve had ample time to at least be well along in that pursuit. Why do the majority of folks on the planet (many in our own country) go to bed hungry whilst many of us decide which restrant to go to and then discard half of what we are served. Why are 2/3 af American adults overweight? Just 2 samples for consideration/discussion.

Except JL3, I don’t like his version of “discussion”, it makes me sad (for a little while)

boberin, didn’t Dumbyah try to say something about “the tanking economy”? As I recall every time he spoke the DOW took a dive.

Seems too, I saw Dumbyah and Henry Paulson doing a public hand-wringing about “the tanking economy”. Then I think Dumbyah handed the problem to Paulson, washed his hands, and the Harvard MBA took to saying: “Whatever he said”. Then he (Paulson) went to congress and said “give me everything, or I’ll crash the school bus”. It also seems I recall that was about the time John McCain stopped saying “The fundamentals of the economy are sound, and suspended his campaign. That’s just what I recall, but, of course, the “true witnesses” here will have a whole other recollection of this.

The CNN poll question and answers are:

If Obama’s health plan passed, your family would be…
    20% Better Off
    35% Worse Off
    44% About the Same

At least 79% of America does not want this “health” tax. I guess that’s why the House voted for it.

  • 37 egospeak // Jul 1, 2009 at 9:29 pm

    Boberin re: 21 & 22

God will sit in judgement of us all. The only difference is that those of us in Christ will be judged by HIS merits and those who are not will be judged on their own merits. The problem is that the standard your merits will be judged against is perfection and no matter how good or nice a person you may be you are going to come up short. I truly hope that before it is too late, God will touch your heart and convince you of your need for a savior and that you will turn to the Lord Jesus for that salvation.

I would not try to defend America’s consumerism. I personally believe that far too many americans have and desire far too much. But that is not the reason that many around the world have so little or go to bed hungry. The overwhelming reason is the type of government that they have. The vast majority of poor, hungry people around the world suffer under generally tyrannical or marxist (sorry that was redundant) dictatorships. While not perfect, free market economies have far far less poverty and deprivation than any other.

It is short sighted at best, and perhaps criminally stupid, to condemn, as many elected democrats do, our free market system because it is imperfect and strive to replace it with a system that is even less perfect.

    Regards,

After consulting one of my Kenyan friends I received this response to boberins comments on rampant consumerism:

I am Nimpola Agere of dimkulso. It is with a sad heart that I hear this man condemn America where I would much like to move my clan for obvious reasonings. This evil person has purchased a paint scraper for $3 which would feed my family of 14 for 3 days. He has bought 2 gallons of paint at $17.99 each, that would feed my clan for a week. All of this to improve a seperate 10′x12′ air conditioned, electrically lit, sleeping space for a child who has not yet survived the birthing. Such ungodly spending and waste when my children go hungry is not reasoning able. This personage is hippo critical to extremes when he ridiculizes the America what provides him these luxuries BECAUSE they provide him these luxuries. No need for him to feel guilties-please just send us the $3 and the two $17.99’s and you all sleep in same room like my 14 families members. For the cost of your used nissan you could send also to me the $3000 and I will get you in touch with a relative barrister in Nigeria who needs to have $5 millions sent to the Americas. $3000 will get us much needed protective weaponry, 12 draft animals and seed to provide for my clan for many years.
    Thanks you
    Nimpola Agere of dimkulso

boberin- as long as you continue to live the good life (comparitively) here in America, you are really not practicing what you preach. Decrying the evils of consumerism while fully exploiting them and not giving anything back is, well…evil—so I hope you give something back other than talk.

The failed Obama administration continues on its track (Amtrak, this time) of corruption and cronyism. Inspectors General, who watchdog how our tax dollars and windfall stimulus money is spent, are being “eased out” of their positions on a regular basis. In the case of he person who replaces the suddenly “retired” Amtrak inspector has no qualifications for the position. Biden’s son’s role in this unethical snarl raises some eyebrows.

    Heckuva job, Obamao!

  • 41 onlineanalyst // Jul 2, 2009 at 7:54 am

Obamao stands with Chavez and the rest of the Leftist states of Latin and South America, as well as the corrupted UN, against Honduras is its constitutional removal of its former president. What does that tell you? Here is the official word of the Communist Party USA, the organization of one of Obamao’s former mentors, Franklin Marshall Davis.”

Pelaya had/has ties with illegal drug trafficking. He was/is a sock puppet-mutual supporter of Chavez. He attemptedt to override the Honduran constitution’s limits on his term with an illegal referendum. After the Honduran congress and supreme court ruled on Pelaya’s ouster and constitutionally approved removal from the country, the military put teeth to the process because the law-enforcement agencies are corrupt.

However incorrectly the media want to play the removal as a military coup, the abuse and misuse of language is irresponsible. Once Pelaya was removed from the country milirarily with the blessing of the Honduran congress and supreme court, the military immediately ceded their authority back to Pelaya;s successor.

Colombia, the other country successfully battling communists in spite of Chavez’s and Ortega’s support of FARC terrorism, sides with Honduras. That’s all we need to know in terms of where our support should lie.

Why are Obama and our Secretary of State siding with the opposing tyrannical communist thugs and tyrants? Chavez, the noisiest squawker over Honduran affairs is a buddy of Achmedinejad in the build up of arms and rent-an-enforcers. Whose side is Obamao on in thwarting terrorism and oppression? Is there any doubt?

SGT…RE: #36…very good sir! Be clear…I, partly because I am not more part of the solution, am going to hell.

    Boberin re: 40

You can’t earn mercy, otherwise it becomes a work and then is judged against perfection, where it falls short. This is not difficult to understand. You may be correct about some here claiming to be saved and ending up in hell, but neither you nor I really know what is in anybody’s heart. That is the province of God alone and anything we think is mere speculation. As for you, there is still time to repent.

ego…believe me, I know…and I do beleive in God thus my near certainty of damnation…I am not a large enough part of the solution…I love my lifestyle and don’t really care to modify it much to make life easier for others. That’s what most Americans have in common.
When the Big Guy asks me why I didn’t do more I’ll have no acceptable answer.
Sure just saying “I repent my sins” is supposedly enough to make everything ok but what most folks miss about that is that you are supposed to STOP what you were doing (for example, not helping others enough…sinful) and go forth and both proclaim and be an example.
How many here do either? I see very few “examples”, rather I see people more than willing to insult me or worse, many would like to rip me to shreds…so it goes

  • 45 Darthmeister // Jul 2, 2009 at 10:53 am

Well said, Sgt USMC … liberal luddites and environmental whackos are probably the biggest hypocrites going. As you say, while they continue to live the good life off the back of enterprising free market capitalists, they are in no moral position to complain about “consumerism”. They constantly crawl out on the branches of liberal socialism and then saw off the limbs while complaining about the tree’s inability to support them! And now these closet anti-consumer commies are doing a very good job of uprooting the tree of American prosperity in their mad dash to create their velvet gulag.

Under the category of “where’s the stimulus”. Amerikan Unemployment rises to an unexpected 9.5%

The only thing Obamarx and Obamabots are “stimulating” is the fall of America as we have known it … yet some of them deny it but then SOME OF THEM REJOICE! Collectivist tools.

Once again we see how these closet socialists aren’t about creating free market prosperity but rather spreading around the misery of their nanny statism.

    Sgt: re#38 & 39, VERY GOOD!!!

It is painfully obvious from blabber’s retort in #42 & 44 he has NO IDEA what it means to be “Saved by Grace”! A Saved Christian is NOT condemned to Hell because he commits another sin after being saved, (although he will probably have to explain why he did to GOD on Judgement Day)! Also if trollboy is right and sees one or more of us in Hell, I can gaurantee he will get no “JOY” from seeing that!!!

I find it tellingly hypocritical that blabber, who constantly cries about people making judgements of him and others, feels that he can make judgements for entry into GOD’s Heaven. Boarding on Blasphemy!!!

As for “not helping others enough” blabber, did you send Obama’s relatives a CARE package? We KNOW Obama didn’t.

OLA: Since you brought up Amtrak, the local maintenence facility at Beech Grove, IN just hired almost one hundred people, thank to Joe Biden and our tax dollars. AOL has a story link saying you can get a ticket on the Amtrak Acela for $51.

I’m not surprized because the tax payer will pay the rest. No ticket sold covers the actual cost. EACH and EVERY Amtrak ticket sold, (now AND for at least the past ten years, probably MUCH longer), loses money that the government, (which means YOU the tax payer), makes up for!

The alleged “fall of America” cannot be blamed on government.

Haven’t you noticed the change in individual morals over the years darthmeister ???

Government cannot decree morals. The morals of those in Government is just a reflection of morals on the streets and in individual homes.

In my observation the biggest change in morals has occurred since the Vietnam ‘Conflict’ as the Government likes to call it.

I would agree with you on the “timeline” BUT, you seem to try to point to the “Vietnam ‘Conflict’” as the cause.

I would point to the “Haight-Asbury”/liberal wing-nut/hippie/yippie/”free love” as the hastening of the moral decline!!!

I say this as a person that had a mindset not unlike those people, but thank GOD I accepted Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross! I now can see how morally low this Country has sank for the ones who will STILL reject HIS free gift!!!

    Bober, re: 44

You seem to be hung up on some kind of works salvation. You “believe in God thus my near certainty of damnation… “ You seem to be saying that because you believe in God and understand that He is holy and that you are not, you are damned because you aren’t good enough. You can’t be good enough no matter what you do because “by the works of the law is no man saved.”

You say that you are “not a large enough part of the solution… “ Besides this being a form of works righteousness… again… , what is that supposed to mean? I’d like to better understand what you mean about your lifestyle and how you think modifying it will make life easier for others and why you seem to believe that this will make you more acceptable to God.

“When the Big Guy asks me why I didn’t do more I’ll have no acceptable answer.” Do more what? Sacrifical good works? There are going to be plenty of people in hell who did all kinds of great sacrifical good works. Good works are not part of salvation, they are a response to salvation.

You are right about repentance but it can only be accomplished through faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, and the working of the Holy Spirit.

It is neither my right nor yours to judge the private lives of those on this site that we know only by the comments they make. It is regretfully true that insults and occasionally worse, fly back and forth as issues are debated. I am guilty of this and it is something that I am striving to fully repent of. I’ll leave it to others to decide if they too are guilty and in need of repentance.

    Regards,

    Egospeak,
Several years ago in VBS my children learned a song that reduced salvation to ABC. It is a simple song but the way to heaven itself is simple: (paraphrasing- it has been awhile)
A, Admit to God you are a sinner
B, Believe that Christ is Gods’ only son.
C, Commit your life to God Above.
    See simple*Poof*-instant entrance to heaven.

    RAM,
    Thanks.
You point out It is painfully obvious from blabber’s retort in #42 & 44 he has NO IDEA what it means to be “Saved by Grace”!
There was a time in my teens and early 20’s that I had no idea either. As a young Marine I boasted of my willingness to go to hell and kick some (Baalams animal). I had walked the aisle, felt the emotion, observed through preteen eyes a transformation in myself but slowly came around to a less controversial and more hedonistic approach as I fell out of church life and developed uncontrolled hormones. I was saved and yet still lost as a goose as far as my lifestyle was concerned. But there was always that small voice, that inner nagging guilt when I did something immoral. Jesus brought me back slowly with sometimes painfull applications of the Rod and the Staff which now comfort me.
According to boberins own account by my recollection, he has done a similar walk yet managed to resist the corrections and consequences of the Shephards Staff for a few decades more than I. I cannot attest to whether he is lost or found. I am a poor fruit inspector, but he does seem rather joyless as the backslidden often do. He also seems obsessed with the perception that only perfect saints get into heaven (which I felt for a while). He is a man equally as worthy of Gods’ love as any despite any differences in opinion I express with him, and I love him no less.

    Deus est Semper Fidelis

    Hank,
They constantly crawl out on the branches of liberal socialism and then saw off the limbs while complaining about the tree’s inability to support them!
Was this an off the cuff meandering of your own synapsis, or a quote. If the former then I must say that you should get into the writing business in earnest. It is metaphorically brilliant! Socially poignant! (Insert other hoity-toidy literary critiqial references here) Samuel Clemensian even.

    God Bless
