Aides Say Obama, Like Palin, Has Gone Rogue

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 15 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2008-10-26) — For the second time in a week, a candidate on a major party presidential ticket has apparently “gone rogue” according to insiders close to Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Just days ago, news reports indicated that Gov. Sarah Palin had slipped her ankle harness and ran amok on the campaign trail, talking openly with reporters, expressing her own opinions instead of carefully-crafted campaign talking points, and generally implying that her “handlers” may know less than she does about being Sarah Palin, advocating conservatism and winning elections.

Today, word leaked from the Obama campaign that the Illinois Democrat had a similar “unguarded moment” during which he “went off script, let his hair down and was just completely himself.”

According to one anonymous witness, “During the rogue episode Sen. Obama said nothing at all and seemed to lapse into sleep mode, like that scene in Star Wars where C3PO shuts down. Obama, like totally, just went off.”

Like I’ve been saying….empty suit. You can tell when the One is off the teleprompter….the aahhhs abound. The man is an orator not a thinker. He can repeat what’s been beat into his skull by his puppeteers but stumbles on his own. I’ll take McCain’s experience over Barry’s slick delivery any day.

Does the adoring Jody Kantor, who penned that sycophantic tripe for NYT, also contribute to Teen Beat?

After describing the multiple ways that Obama picks the brains of advisors in a room (and sucks the oxygen from the most reticent), she claims that THE ONE’s opinion is a mystery. Wow! What a deliberator! Once he has had his waffle, he may make a vague statement, which will be clarified the next day and contradicted not too much later. He is a man for all seasons, a man for all reasons. (How’s it polling, Axelrod?)

Obama is such a rogue. Why, his fan club may find that he is not just the man he used to be but also the man he never was or will be.

We call such creatures eels in most of the country. He’s just that cool and slippery. Shocka!

“Plugs” Biden got those implants when he feared he was about to “go rug.”

Obama will continue to take the easy route, surrounding himself with a symbiotic staff of sycophants satisfied to put him before the lights while he lets them do their work in the dark. No man who lacks the fortitude — to say nothing of humility and good sense — to swiftly and strongly repudiate those who call him “Messiah” will have the strength to actually lead. Obama is the ultimate “Yes Man,” a figurehead happy to be used by others, so caught up in their flattery he doesn’t recognize he’s being used.

Obama has gone rogue? I guess ObaMarx does revert back to his corrupt Chicago politican roots from time to time. I bet he can’t wait until he changes America into the prosperous utopia we have here in the People’s Republic of Illinois.

    BARBARIANS AT THE GATES.

It’s interesting how Obamessiah always manages to have a coterie of political thugs, slime merchants and bottom-feeders greasing his path. So much for the more traditional palm branches routine, eh?

And given the vicious and sometimes sophomoric attacks on Sarah Palin, John McCain and Joe the Plumber, all doubt has been removed that the worst impulses of humanity have not only been unleashed in the Democratic Party but actually rewarded!

Crikey, when Obama supporters wear T-shirts and operate blog sites which proclaim, “Sarah Palin Is A C***”, then you know the barbarians really are at the gates.

If you doubt me, Google it … I can’t and won’t post a link here.

An excellent parody at IowaHawk … Bill the Pipebomb Maker

A heart warming retrospective of Bill Ayers. Republicans have their Joe the Plumber and the Democrats now have their Bill the Pipebomb Maker.

Such a reaction from Osama Bamalama, when every Democrat sounds like a Chatty Kathy or Barbie pull-string doll when it comes to reciting their talking points on the shout shows?

I have my own 2¢ worth at United Possums International.

Hans Solo to Luke Skywalker early on: “I have a bad feeling about this.”

Get ready for the coronation, folks. We can survive four years of socialist hell, and Governor Palin will be a powerhouse when the conservative life of America rises to give CPR to our gasping republic.

Thanks for letting me post the link, Great Scott.

Uh-oh — another rogue on the loose.

Elderly perennial Candidate Ralph Nader announced today that he has set a personal and Guinness record by speaking for at least ten minutes to at least ten people on an amazing twenty one occasions in a single day! Some of his audiences appeared less than thrilled about the accomplishment, such as fellow passengers on several mass-transit buses and customers in a crowded “Dunkin’ Donuts” (where Nader and his staff each blocked one of the two exits). Observers from Guinness, however, lauded Nader’s performance, noting that alcohol sales doubled during his speeches in each of two hotel bars.

wv - woman to_insanity - Ralph’s “James Bond” voice just does that.

“Three ways of dealing with an enemy. Battle. Ignore. Appease. Only one way is effective. I view Muslim Extremists as being a threat. I view the Iraq War as being justified and good for our security.”

    There is a fourth CONVERT.

You are right that Ignore and Appease do not work. Neither - it should be obvious to a Christian - does ATTACK.

Refer to the “Holy Wars” since the 9th century, when Christians began the holy wars that ended with 9-11.

Attack is expressly forbidden by God’s law. In addition it has (for more than 1,000 years) been shown to fail.

Converting, by showing the way of peace - showed by Jesus Christ on the cross. NOT by more and bloodier wars.

The only people who gain from war are the arms makers (Halliburton) and the politicians.

Obama is no rogue. He was a red-diaper baby. Now he is a red-diaper perpetual adolescent.

Listen to this archived audio-interview of Obama and his theories re redistribution of wealth and its role in reparations in assuring civil rights.

Attack? not under most circumstances, but who was the aggressor when Israel came out of the desert into the promised land?
Conversion is not a real option, it is rare to find anyone willing to convert unless they have been defeated. Can anyone think of a conflict that was resolved BWO conversion? (Other than spiritual conflict in a person’s heart.)
In my humble opinion, there was nothing Christian about the “Holy Wars”, that is not how people are converted to Christ.
For a person to become a Christian, there is no place for coercion, it has to be a choice made out of a person’s free will, based upon the gospel of Christ. Genuine salvation is not the same as calling yourself a Christian because you have been deceived by yourself or a religionist. Scripture warns of many who think they are right with God only to hear him say depart from me, I never knew you…

Nations rise and fall by order of the Throne of God. If we think we can relegate him to a position of irrelevance and rely on ourselves via Government, we are deceiving ourselves. When Obama says, “Yes, we can” he is lying.

    education!

From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers,a founder of the Weather Underground… agenda flowed from Mr. Ayers’s educational philosophy, which called for infusing students and their parents with a radical political commitment, and which downplayed achievement tests in favor of activism.
