(2008-10-06) — Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama accused the McCain-Palin campaign of using “swift boat”-style tactics in new ads and stump speeches unleashed this week because Sen. Obama once considered joining the military.
“Just like they done old John Kerry, they’re doin’ me,” said Sen. Obama. “They know that I pondered military service and might have ended up as a swift-boat commander and decorated war hero if the Vietnam conflict hadn’t ended too soon.”
Sen. Obama told ABC News earlier this year that he might have joined the Army in 1979 if America had been at war because he “always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honourable option.”
Today, the senator from Illinois said, “Americans won’t tolerate attacks on a man who very nearly risked his life for his country, and almost certainly would have won the Silver Star for gallantry in action against the enemy. As I almost used to say to my comrades-in-arms, these attacks are going to fire back on him…you know…make the back fire out…you know what I mean.”

It gets worse. Not only might Obama have honorably commanded a Swift Boat, but it turns out that, had he been there, he might very well have commanded PT-109, and under only slightly different circumstances would be famous for the statement “[deleted] the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!”

Technically, “identifying” something isn’t the same as “redefining” it, BlackLyin’, but you’re right at least as far as noting she’s bringing things to the fore that others have ignored.
You’re probably aware that admitted terrorist Ayers got off on a technicality. Maybe O.J. can coach him on how to get his stuff back.

It’s great to see what a miracle the bailout has performed for the US and world economy. The stock market fell while the House dithered on the first bailout bill, then climbed when that bill was voted down. When the Senate took up the measure the Dow Jones Average started back down, and really slid when the Senate passed its version, but recovered a little while it looked like the House might reject it again. Once the bailout was passed by the House and signed by the President, things began falling and haven’t stopped yet.
Obama might not have had close ties to the people who tried to bring down the world economy on 9/11, but he was certainly an accomplice to those who may have accomplished the deed last week. Sadly, so was McCain, along with my own formerly conservative Congressman and one of my Senators. (The other, bless her heart, voted against it.)
17 Darthmeister // Oct 6, 2008 at 4:47 pm
Some stockbrokers are saying that the market has been reacting the last couple of months to the prospect of an Obama presidency. I hate to think how it’s going to react when this liberal socialist actually gets in office. Of course a crashing world economy probably wouldn’t be all that bad in the view of leftists since that would give them an opportunity to “save the world” with more of their hare-brained economic theories.
Obambi’s campaign shills are now claiming their messiah really didn’t know Bill Ayers was a former Weathermen terrorist. Obambi has been getting the benefit of the doubt since he previously claimed that he didn’t know that Ayers was an unrepentant terrorist as late as 2001 (as proven by a photograph of Ayers stomping on an American flag shortly after 9/11). But Obambi’s new claim that his highness didn’t know Ayers and his wife were former Weathermen terrorist is preposterous.
But I don’t know which is worse, Obambi knowing Ayer’s history as part of the Weathermen Underground and not really caring or his alleged ignorance of such a historical figure in the annals of home-brewed American terrorism.
What his shills are claiming is like saying Obambi didn’t know who Timothy McVeigh was. And this guy is presidential material? I guess we’re to assume Obambi doesn’t even know Putin is a former KGB agent. Something really smells here … why can’t Obambi get his story straight?

Obama has known Ayers and Dohrn for 21 years
In 21 years there is no way he couldn’t have know these two were freakin’ former Weathermen Underground terrorists and they sure don’t sound like Ayers or Dohrn were ever truly “repentant” and they certainly are still communist radicals.

The lefties are abuzz about Gov. Palin’s linking Maliki and the Taliban during the debate, soaring bravely to the conclusion that Palin doesn’t know the difference between our worst enemies and our best friends. Nouri Kamel Mohammed Hassan al-Maliki is, of course, the Prime Minister of Iraq, while the Taliban … oops, what she actually said was Talibani — Jalal Talabani, the President of Iraq, but the lefties were hoping so badly for a gaffe they went ahead and invented one.
Meanwhile, Obama gets a pass for not knowing anything about Rezko, Ayers, Wright, etc. etc. even though he was a friend of each for years.
Bias? No, of course not!

As I watch the Obamatons swallowing every lie and half-truth being foisted on them by The One and his willing accomplices in the lamestream media, I’m reminded of the movie, “The Matrix”. In it the protagonist Neo is confronted with a decision to choose either the blue pill or the red pill. If he takes the blue pill “the story ends and you wake up and believe whatever you want to believe.”
Take the red pill you stay awake “in Wonderland” and you see the world for what it really is and how you’ve been suckered by the master controller of information (Matrix computer = all forms of liberal media) whose mission is to control, subdue and pacify humans.
Given how the libtards have naively erected a house of cards where white is black and right is wrong, I think they need to start taking the red pill and wake up and see Obmessiah for what he really is before its too late.
From a metaphorical perspective, this is one of the few things Hollyweird ever got right the last forty years.

This from John McCain in Albuquerque, NM. Finally, the truth is getting out about the Donks’ own culpability in the financial market meldown:
This crisis started in our housing market in the form of subprime loans that were pushed on people who could not afford them. Bad mortgages were being backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and it was only a matter of time before a contagion of unsustainable debt began to spread. This corruption was encouraged by Democrats in Congress, and abetted by Senator Obama.
Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.
Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, “a good idea.” Well, Senator Obama, that “good idea” has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.
To hear him talk now, you’d think he’d always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign.
He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them.
Just watch Bawney Fwank and the rest of the Donks howl. It’s kind of like throwing holy water on vampires. I like how McCain got his dig in on Chris Dodd (D-Moon) without naming him … “with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them.”

Here’s the video of McCain’s speech.
It’s about time the gloves come off. Let’s see how the lib media spins this.
ButI guess the lamestream media could claim McCain was getting “racial”. After all, whose faces are on American money? Why whitey’s faces are. So McCain is clearly trying to empower American money by making it more valuable, therefore McCain is trying to make the case that money with white people’s faces on it should be worth more than foreign money with “colored people” on it. Who knows what the media will come up with, but my guess is as good as any since whatever the Obamedia comes up with will be totally irrelevant and inane.

32 mindknumbed kid // Oct 6, 2008 at 9:20 pm
They will spin McCain’s speech as “going negative” and tell us he is “attacking” him because he is down in the polls, making him appear as being “desperate”.
The libs are the desperate ones, resorting to using the media as a shield to protect their anti- American candidate that is not an empty suit, no, he is full of all sorts of stuff that makes him unfit to be POTUS. Their hatred of the America given to us as real change, full of hope, by the founders being underpinned in the Word of God and built upon morality and virtue continues to drive them into darkness and corruption. The change they are hellbent on making is one that leads to destruction, but they have ventured so far into the darkness they blindly push forward, they themselves being deceived each helping the other search for something unknown.
You can explain it away with political philosophies, and world views, but at the heart of it all is the battle of the ages. People who embrace the concept of God with responsibilities under his law see things differently than those that refuse to recognize his divine authority. One yields, the other rebels.
Some time ago someone here ( I think it was OLA or CAT ) sent a piece out that dealt with taking the Lord’s name in vain, that stated that it meant using God to gain an advantage in a situation strictly for personal gain. IMO, that is Barack Obama. We debate his “Christianity” and many such as I conclude that his Christianity is not genuine. He is definitely religious, but whatever he has, it appears to lack the main ingredient, Jesus Christ. I base my conclusions on positions he holds and statements he has made, out of my understanding of what God’s Word says. I see more likelihood of him actually being Muslim than Christian. I see his Christianity as being political. I see him as being motivated to use deceit to get to where he wants to go. I know the origin of deceit is Satan.
Obama therefore, IMO, cannot be good for America, and is not a permissible choice for a Christian to make in the voting booth. And so far, no troll has convinced me otherwise.

Federal Prosecutors in the Rezko case are asking for a sentencing delay, a hint that Rezko may be on the verge of spilling the beans regarding his involvement in Chicago politics.
Will Obama promise him a Presidential Pardon, or will Rezko meet with an unfortunate accident before the election? Just wonderin’.

From coast to coast, across the fruited plains a miracle is taking place! From every village hamlet to the largest cities millions upon millions of Christians are coming in from the cold. God’s little “Secret Agents” are ‘outing’ themselves. Backslidden Christians are becoming aware that this November 4th Election is not a matter of “good vs evil” but that “evil” is just a word manufactured to describe “The absence of God”.
They are living in a country where it’s Constitution, complete with it’s preamble speaks of inalienable “rights”. Leading the rights, even ahead of liberty, is life.
Even the Mainstream Media, much to it’s chagrin is reporting the upsurge in Church attendance. People are beginning to notice; neighbors who were once their buddies, are hearing, “No, cancel the barb-b-que, we’re going to church.” No longer content to drive their BMW’s & Porches to the country club for a round of golf and a leisurely consumed brunch. There is an urgent matter at hand, it’s called life.
Satan doesn’t come around wearing a suit of red long-john underwear with horns sprouting from his forehead as he carries his pitchfork. He, who once had the ear of God, was the #1 angel over all the Arch-angels isn’t stupid. He comes around wearing his invisible cloak of liberalism, loudly proclaiming “There is no God!” setting forth every precept contrary to the God he sought to overthrow. He has usurped the once proud Democrat Party, morphing it into a Marxist based Socialist Party and now gleefully awaits the election of His “front-runner” in November.
No, I don’t think so. This is a Christian Nation, founded on Christian principles. A liberal victory in November would establish a New Nation, founded on “The absence of God”. All of those inalienable “rights” would be deleted in the name of satan’s “fairness doctrine”. America cannot afford to elect satan’s “front-runner”, the price is too high.
