RNC 2008: Black GOP Chair on Obama, Iraq and More

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 6 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

THIS IS NOT SATIRE…
(Minneapolis Convention Center) — The vast editorial staff at ScrappleFace caught up with Timothy Johnson, chairman of the Buncombe County, North Carolina, Republican Party — the only black GOP county chairman in the state. Dr. Johnson, a 21-year Army veteran, shares his thoughts on Affirmative Action, the U.S. mission in Iraq, the presidential candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama and more.

Note: There’s no reasonable explanation for why our staff videographer couldn’t tilt the Flip Video camera high enough to afford a view of the rest of Dr. Johnson’s head.

    “There’s no reasonable explanation …”

Actually there is an explanation — the area above the eyebrows contains the Secret Weapon of Conservatism. We call it a “brain.”

Kudos to Dr. Johnson for keeping his in such good condition. May God continue to bless America with people like him.

Wow, Dr. Johnson knows who he is and Whose he is. Here is hoping that he convinces other voters in Buncombe County and the whole of North Carolina what really counts in the selection of the important office of the presidency.

Dr. Johnson is “the only black GOP county chairman in the state” because Joseph Avery, former chairman of the Johnston Co., NC, GOP, is now the chairman of the entire 2nd Congressional District.
