(2008-08-24) — Stung by the fact that Sen. Barack Obama neither considered her as running mate nor sought her advice on whom to choose, Sen. Hillary Clinton may take a page from Teddy Roosevelt’s playbook, and head up a third-party ticket to “teach that kid a lesson.”
In 1912 Mr. Roosevelt rejected a corrupt Republican nominating process to become the presidential candidate of the Progressives, nicknamed ‘The Bull Moose Party.’
Sen. Clinton reportedly likes the historic connection to a “Progressive” of another era, and hopes to revive T.R.’s party under a slightly-altered nickname because she’s a woman, and bulls are male.
Informed of Sen. Clinton’s apparent intentions, Sen. Obama said he hoped there were no hard feelings, but that he had instructed his vice presidential search team to find a candidate who could “balance the ticket.”
“I told them to get someone who’s old, white and doesn’t hate my guts,” he said. “Hillary was in the running right up to the end there, when Joe Biden edged her out. Hey, two out of three ain’t bad.”

One shudders to think what else she may be mulling.

I’m waiting for the fireworks, coming soon in Denver, when Hillbilly, Inc. may jerk the rug out from under B.O.
B.O. STINKS

I get the “feeling” that this is referring to a certain term used to describe some types of lesbians…

Camo#5,
Please don’t go there. I know I said some unrespectable things against the HONORABLE Ms. Pelosi, but am in regret. At 109 she still is a nice looking lady. I know she has a heart somewhere under the desire to step on the weak.
Mrs. Clinton should never ever be put in the context of a “so called Cow Party”
First of all you and I have tipped some , myself during THUNDER (thigh) Storms.
Now the cows didn’t like to be awoke, but I was young and well, I had to clean out the barn so I guess I just had an Angst.
Be nicer to cows, they are delicious.
and some wild game is cooking here now, yummy.

Bully, bully, uhem, cough, where is my big stick. I need to go speak softly to a loud, obnoxious, shrill pant suited lady.
There are more than a few differences between Teddy ( a name he hated) and Hillary. Mr. Roosevelt survived an assassination attempt in Milwaukee after the bullet went through his glass case and his speech papers then lodged in his chest.
He knew the bullet didn’t reach his lungs because he wasn’t spitting up blood, so he continued to make his speech, while bleeding, for 90 minutes.
Nobody could stand to hear Hillary for 90 minutes and likely the audience would shoot themselves because of the shrillness and the suffering from whine fatigue.
Teddy Roosevelt loved the Boy Scouts. Hillary and the liberals despise the Boy Scouts.
Teddy Bears were made famous after Roosevelt took office. Who would buy a Hillary Bear?
As square deal for the Clinton’s would soon be a triangular deal, nothing on the bottom and everything on the point for their pockets.
Mooses, Meeces Mices. Where does it end

The change being promoted by B.O. is a change back to the Carter years. (squared)
Returning to the Carter years of high taxes, high inflation, and a weak military is not the change we are looking for.
The old sage’s (over 50) will have to play a big role in this election. The young people simply don’t know what the aged know. The advantage of aging is the knowledge you accumulated. You know what United States means. You know what the seldom-heard word respect means. You know how wonderful freedom and independence is. You know the difference between a strong and a weak nation; and you know what it takes to keep it strong. You know history because you have lived it.

So are you saying that the VRWC had it out for Teddy too? I guess he and BO have something in common, Teddy should have requested Secret Service protection!

OK, perhaps you’re right. Maybe the “Bull $#!+ Party” would be more accurate…

I would not put this past HillBilly Inc., she cannot afford to wait another 8 years to rule the world. She cannot take the chance of J-Mac dying in office and his veep pushing it to 12 more years. My guess is that what happens in Denver, will not stay in Denver.

Yes. Yes!
You go, Hill !!
Yes , We WILL !!!
As far as The Party That Dares Not Speak Its Name, would it sound something like : “Pull Bike” , perhaps ?

Keeling over during his second term could make it 16 years…
16 RedPepper // Aug 24, 2008 at 5:36 pm
mkk #14: kid - under that scenario, you’re actually envisioning Joe Biden as President … aren’t you.
OMG … what a [bleep!]ing nightmare …
17 mindknumbed kid // Aug 24, 2008 at 5:39 pm
A minor technical difficulty, You have to copy an paste to get the whole thing. Typical MSM news did the same exact coverage for Ms. RightWing and me, I think the Obitin’ camp is to blame!
18 upnorthlurkin // Aug 24, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Personally, I think she should stick with the PUMA Party!
19 mindknumbed kid // Aug 24, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Naw sir, I have J-Mac winning over Obitin’, a blow out if Obit**in’ runs as a third party gal. So I see a 16 year run for the good(er) guys.
20 mindknumbed kid // Aug 24, 2008 at 5:50 pm
So with Obooboo going opposite for veep, does this mean that J-Mac will choose a young black conservative veep? Who was that guy that ran in Maryland? Maybe him.

The Cow-Moose Party just doesn’t work for me.

My platform will be based on an oil well in every yard. Vote for me if you want, but I am going with J-Mac…

How about the Don’t Tread on Me Party?
Or better yet, Conservative Vice Lords?
Or something else that picks up the Spirit of America Again?
We need to pull together again, our riches have lavished us in an intoxication that will DESTROY us.
I am going to sport the red ,white, and blue Number One.
Thats the spirit.
Heading off to build and fly rockets.

Thanks. I should have been in bed when I wrote it but the nagging little poem kept rattling around in my head. I had trouble with Biden-then it came to me.
Finally sleep came.
I will try another idea later, time to exercise now.

Hillary could form the Red Heifer Party, except that she’s already calved; it might also upset some of the traditional Dem base. On the other hand, it’s got kind of a “Bull Moose” ring to it, and anything Red is sure to draw interest among the Moove-On crowd.
