Obama Submission Rejected by Reader’s Digest

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 91 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2008-07-22) — Just days after The New York Times declined to publish an Op-Ed piece by Republican presidential nominee John McCain, Reader’s Digest has rejected a Barack Obama submission to its Humor in Uniform section.

While staffers refused to divulge the content of Sen. Obama’s “light-hearted military anecdote” a Reader’s Digest editor sent a rejection slip suggesting a “different approach.”

Humor in Uniform items typically reflect a love and respect for our nation’s fighting forces, and support for the job they do,” the editor wrote to Sen. Obama. “And as you might guess from the section title, these items also tend to be funny. We would be happy to consider future submissions which fit this description.”

Sen. Obama refused to take questions about the incident, saying only, “There are easier ways to get $300.”

Strangely enough - yesterday I tried to “Log in” 19 (nineteen) times throughout the day after having posted twice earlier in the day.

Not really having any knowledge as to how computers, blogs, etc. work I felt really shut out, I guess I didn’t realize just how much ScrappleFace meant to me. (Certainly,as I learned, much more than I thought) So, with no immediate family, a goodly number of Scrapplers have become my de facto family and it’s no fun finding that I was shut out.

So thank you Scott. Your creation means more to me than I would have guessed. Reckon I’ll be buying you a lot more coffee from now on.

A simple transcription error — B.O. thought the feature was called “Humoring Uninformed.”

  • 4 gafisher // Jul 22, 2008 at 8:32 am

Actually, B.O. isn’t really noted for his sparkling sense of humor. Everything he’d be likely to submit would fall in the “Drama in (more or less) Real Life” category.

Perhaps the freshman senator has the same sense of wit as my state’s own John Kerry. With the exception of the occasional “botched joke”, the man is hysterical. ex: “The Iraqi army is in such bad shape, even the Italian army could kick their [explitive]“

CAT here - Scott, could you work your wonders on my posts and make me real again? Well, real as a screen name can make one? :-)

GA, I dunno. I think Obummer’s pretty humorous, myself. Just take his following quote:
But it is wonderful to be back in Indiana. In a few moments, we’ll open up the discussion. But I want to offer a few comments about some of the emerging threats that we face in the 21st century and offer some ideas about how we can face those threats.
Throughout our history, America’s confronted constantly evolving danger, from the oppression of an empire, to the lawlessness of the frontier, from the bomb that fell on Pearl Harbor, to the threat of nuclear annihilation. Americans have adapted to the threats posed by an ever-changing world.”

You add that in with the fact that he thinks that he visited 57 states and missed one, Alaska and Hawaii and I think he’s a scream.

I just heard that MAD Magazine has also rejected B.O. as being to………ummm…. how shall we say it……….freaking’ MAD.

Some (sick) Biblical Scholars are however considering a new version of the Good Book. The new version would include (according to Obama spokesman Robert Gabbs ) a “book” written by his #1 disciple Michelle that details the many amazing things that B.O. has achieved in this short period that we have been blessed to be aware of his existence. Also detailed in it will be what we (read: sheep) need to do to be saved by his royal Barakness.

Beekabok2: On that note, have you noticed that unlike Christ in our Bible where people even wanted to touch His robe, all of the photos of Obummer in Iraq and Afghanistan show him standing with people around him, but they are far enough away that he’s all by himself - untouchable. But he is all about ‘peace’ - a ‘piece’ of you and a ‘piece’ of me!!

OK, Beekabok2, gonna try this again. I posted but it didn’t show up so I tried Scotts CntrlF5 thingy.

I said that I had noticed that unlike Christ of our Bible, where people sought to even touch His robe, in photos of Obummer from Iraq and Afghanistan, he is always in the center of a circle of people, but the people are far enough back that he is all by himself - untouchable.

But he is for peace - a ‘piece’ of you and a ‘piece’ of me. Heh! We ought to make that a campaign slogan. :-)

  • 10 onlineanalyst // Jul 22, 2008 at 10:07 am

CAT: What offended me about Obama’s “rib-tickling comment” is that he said Americans have adapted to threats, not that we have confronted and defeated threats.

For a candidate who emphaisizes “words, just words,” he needs to make a few submissions to “Increasing Your Word Power” in order to sharpen not only his nuance but his gravitas. What a lightweight!

Those tiny, unscrutinizable-by-the-FEC contributions that he is getting in “the worst economy ever” surely raise some questions about the Big Daddy, who is underwriting, bundling and/or laundering that questionable cash.

Heh! CharlesS, as a “Massatoosits” inhabitant, you have probably read the scathing “Obama: The Audacity of Ego”. I recommend it to others. It nails the candidate, who doesn’t even show up for his job when elected. He does not subscribe to the message “Will Work for Cash”.

ola, great point about us not adapting to Hitler and the imperialist Japanese who dropped that “bomb” on Pearl Harbor. The link is also great, and makes the same point Charles Krauthammer does this week in his column about Obama’s massive ego.

Obama is a fool, and one that is easily played because of his self-absorption. I linked in the last thread to how the Germans have duped him. He presumed his unquestioned welcome by the Germans to be used as propoganda, so they’re having him speak at a site that memorializes German victories - including over the French - and the location was chosen by none other than Adolf himself.

    Anonymous,

You have misquoted Senator Obama’s speech of Jul 16, 2008 at Purdue University in your number 6.

The excerpt you misquoted should have read:

Throughout our history, America’s confronted constantly evolving danger, from the oppression of an empire, to the lawlessness of the frontier, from the bombs that fell on Pearl Harbor, to the threat of nuclear annihilation. Americans have adapted to the threats posed by an ever-changing world.”

  • 31 conserve-a-tip // Jul 22, 2008 at 5:07 pm

Well, I thought that I would share with you a response that I just gave to one of my liberal friends. I got no response, but oh well. I just really feel this way, though, and ET, I’m aimin’ it at you:

I’m not in any “political” club. In my lower middle class existence, I am danged happy and don’t feel jipped, hornswaggled, led-down-the-primrose-path or suffering the consequences of anything other than my own choices when I make stupid ones. My well-being doesn’t depend on Bush or Cheney or anybody.

I do know when I am being lied to, though, and I know I’m being lied to when someone tells me that they are here to take care of me and make sure my life is hunky dorey. That’s a lie. When Bush said that about the prescription drug plan and the farm bill, I knew it was a lie. When Obummer says it just about everything from healthcare to whether his wife can be criticized or not, I know he is a liar and that his life is a lie. When McCain touts his faith and family values, I know it’s a lie because faith doesn’t call for a lucky rabbit’s foot or a lucky sweater and family values doesn’t include leaving your wife for another younger, wealthier woman. So don’t tell me about your clubs.

But what I do know also is danger. The danger is in believing that a leader of a nation is a savior for that nation or that he is new or different or “articulate”. The best liars in the world are articulate and the most honest men in the world are poorly able to express themselves. Ever been with a used car salesman? Most articulate, fast-talking bozos in the world. Obummer is a used car salesman who has repainted an old socialist/communist message and pawned it off as “Change We Can Believe In” when really it’s just an old, repainted car with an engine packed with sawdust.

What you and Obummer don’t get is that the job of the president is not to take care of us, but to protect the military and take care of the Constitution so that each of us is free to take care of ourselves.

c-a-t, I have a feeling that your “liberal friend” isn’t going to respond to you. You spoke the truth to them, and liberals don’t like…and don’t want to hear…the truth. There are two songs that would be great for the Obama campaign…”Tell Me Lies” and “Nowhere Man.” Liberals love hearing lies and thrive on the emptiness of “hot air.”

Last night Barack Obama told ABC News that, knowing what we know now-that the surge in Iraq has been a success and has drastically reduced violence thus giving Iraq a shot at a bright future-he would still oppose it!

Think about that one. The surge reduced American casualties and reduced the violence from al Qaeda and whacked out Shia and Sunni militiamen … but Obamessiah said he would still oppose it!

This is what happens when moonbats are infected with the anti-Bush Derangement syndrome. Anyone who thinks like that is either highly partisan are in need of some psychiatric help. Of course dear ol’ Barry will probably be “clarifying his position” on this stupid gaffe.

“My mind’s made up. Don’t confuse me with facts.” ~ Anonymous

  • 37 Darthmeister // Jul 22, 2008 at 9:20 pm

The many inexcusable gaffes of the very young and inexperience Barack Hussein Obummer:

Last May, he claimed that tornadoes in Kansas killed a whopping 10,000 people: “In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” The actual death toll: 12.

In Oregon, Obummer redrew the map of the United States: “Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.”

In front of a roaring Sioux Falls, S.D., audience, Obama exulted: “Thank you, Sioux City.”

Explaining why he was trailing Hillary Clinton in Kentucky, Obama again botched basic geography: “Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known, coming from a nearby state of Arkansas. So it’s not surprising that she would have an advantage in some of those states in the middle.” On what map is Arkansas closer to Kentucky than Illinois? In fact, Illinois shares a border with Kentucky, not Arkansas. Moron.

Obummer has as much trouble with numbers as he has with maps. Last March, on the anniversary of the Bloody Sunday march in Selma, Ala., he claimed his parents united as a direct result of the civil rights movement: “There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Ala., because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born.” (Actually, this is more like a Clintonian lie to burnish his image than a gaffe.) Obama was born in 1961. The Selma march took place in 1965. His spokesman, Bill Burton, later explained that Obama was “speaking metaphorically about the civil-rights movement as a whole.” (buwahahahaha, just like a Donk to compound a lie with another lie.)

In Oregon, Obama pleaded ignorance of the decades-old, multibillion-dollar massive Hanford nuclear-waste cleanup: “Here’s something that you will rarely hear from a politician, and that is that I’m not familiar with the Hanford, uuuuhh, site, so I don’t know exactly what’s going on there. (Applause.) Now, having said that, I promise you I’ll learn about it by the time I leave here on the ride back to the airport.” Ditz. Truth is Obummer voted on at least one defense-authorization bill that addressed the “costs, schedules, and technical issues” dealing with the nation’s most contaminated nuclear-waste site, but I guess this incompetent U.S. Senator doesn’t read what he’s voting on!

Last March, the Chicago Tribune reported this fake autobiographical detail in Obama’s Dreams from My Father: “Then, there’s the copy of Life magazine that Obama presents as his racial awakening at age 9. In it, he wrote, was an article and two accompanying photographs of an African-American man physically and mentally scarred by his efforts to lighten his skin. In fact, the Life article and the photographs don’t exist, say the magazine’s own historians.”

And in perhaps the most seriously troubling set of gaffes of them all, Obama told a Portland crowd over the weekend that Iran doesn’t “pose a serious threat to us” — cluelessly arguing that “tiny countries” with small defense budgets can’t do us harm — and then promptly flip-flopped the next day, claiming, “I’ve made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave.”

The only “change” Obummer is really for is the ability to change his mind on any number of issues just to squeeze out every last vote from the most mind-numbed morons in America who think this guy really is “different” or “smart”. Obummer is nothing more than a calculating empty suit Chicago politician who will stop at nothing to plunk his incompetent backside in that Oval Office.

Personally, I think it very ironic how Obummer (and to a lesser degree, Bill Clinton) is able to invoke such messianic fervor among the liberal seculars in this country.

“House Speaker Pelosi is hinting at reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, and many of her liberal colleagues in Congress are doing the same in both chambers.”

If they are successful - could they find “unintended consequences” that could turn and ‘bite’ them where they don’t want to be ‘bitten’?

Could ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, PBS, etc. be required to furnish ‘equal time’ for a Conservative presentation of “The News”?

Could PBS could be required to air conservative responses to their liberal programs.

It might turn into a real donnybrook -

    donnybrook |ˈdänēˌbroŏk|

a scene of uproar and disorder; a heated argument : raucous ideological donnybrooks.

I think they should leave Talk Radio (aka Rush Limbaugh) alone and “let sleeping dogs lie”.

  • 40 Fred Sinclair // Jul 23, 2008 at 12:39 am

mkk #38 - You’re 100% correct. The Devil (Satan - aka Lucifer) is in fact a true believer. He is the former Head angel over all other archangels.

Is. 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

He is the #1 promoter of religion. He desires that everyone should be religious. because if he can get them believing in a cult or other false system - anything but Christ - And presto! They belong to him!

With 2,227 religions (at last count) what he doesn’t want is Christians! Which is why he controls the Christian hating liberals like the ACLU and the DNC.

Christianity stands diametrically opposed (180 degrees) to religion.
All 2,227 religions have one thing in common. In one way or another, they are, without exception, a system of man seeking god; while Christianity stands alone as the one system of worship wherein God is seeking man.

The ACLU and other assorted liberals are seldom, if ever found trying to squelch Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Muhammadanism or any of the many, many other “isms” because they have some sort of program or pattern whereby man can earn or work his way into their god’s favor and thusly gain heaven upon death.

Gal. 5:11 - The cross of Christ is an offense -

To Morality; because works cannot justify.
To Philosophy; because it appeals to faith, not reason.
To Culture; because it’s truth is revealed to babes.
To Caste; because God chooses the poor and humble.
The Will; because it calls for unconditional surrender.

I do not intend to trim my sails to the breeze of popular acclaim, I have but one aim in life and that is to please Christ.

“For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.” (Gal. 1:10)

  • 41 Fred Sinclair // Jul 23, 2008 at 1:42 am

I did a recheck on religion in the Bible. The word is used only five times in the KJV The first four verses deal with the Jewish religion and a Jew without Christ is the same as anyone else without Christ - the property of Satan.
The fifth use of the word is Paul’s use of the word in the Christian sense.

Acts 26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
Gal. 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
Gal. 1:14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James Inhofe is up for reelection and there is a young democrat named Andrew Rice who is running against him as the agent of “change”. I think that is their new favorite word. Anyway, he is really dangerous as he has a degree in theology and says that it equips him to take out the right wing Christian fanatics while announcing that he is going to enforce the separation of church and state. Anybody else catch the discrepancy there? He is also for gay marriage and REALLY big government. He is pulling the wool over many eyes. He is Obummer light.

So how successful does this Obama-lite buffoon appear to be in his challenge of Inhofe?

  • 46 Fred Sinclair // Jul 23, 2008 at 11:16 am

c-a-t#44 - Jim Inhofe is beyond question one of my most favorite people. If I were McCain and really, really wanted to win in November; I would be courting Senator Inhofe and Louisiana Gov. Jindal for my V.P. running mate.

I’m on Jim’s mailing list and both of my picks are too deeply committed to their State to leave for D.C. Although considering McCain’s age, it could be a gateway to the Presidency. Either of them would surely pull the votes of those Conservatives who don’t really want to vote for McCain.

If only there was a way to get all registered Republicans to vote (wait! there is, it’s called the price of gasoline!) there would be a Presidential and Congressional landslide comparable to Reagan’s 49 state runaway.

I’m not overly concerned about Jim’s re-election to the Senate since Okies have a solid record of not being stupid.

He stomped a very conservative candidate for the state senate seat and has only been in office for less then a year, but his district is made up of the arts district, the hispanic community and one of the poorer areas - in other words - liberal.

And yes, he’s a pro-choice Christian who uses his theology degree to give authority to that stance. I am sure that God will tell him what he can do with that theology degree.

BTW, B. Boxer, DailyKos, etc and etc are raising money for his campaign.

c-a-t, “pro-choice” and “Christian” are mutually exclusive of each other, however, it seems that Mr. “Theology Degree” never learned that in his Biblical studies, huh? People like this Rice character thrive and succeed due to the ignorance of the people who support them. I hope and pray that the majority of Oklahomans see through this phony “Christian,” and that Inhofe is re-elected. He is a true conservative.

The subtle serpent always questions the Word of God in an attempt to change what God says. Thus comes the perversion of Christianity, it ties in well with their perversion of the constitution. It’s all in interpretation, they are quick to tell you what things meant, even when it contradicts what it literally says. The tactic never changes. “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said”… (Gen 3:1)
As a matter of fact, yes God has said, so now they are telling us that what God says is sin isn’t sin and if you say it is then you are judgemental and a hate monger, and they are passing laws against hate. So we gotta just shut our pie holes and let them determine how we ought to live. This is liberalism. Obama is a liberal. What part of this don’t you get? Thank God for truth and the few there are that willingly embrace it!

    Jeremiah 19:3-5 (KJV)

3And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

    4Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;

5They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

Hey America. Abortion never came into God’s mind either. We have filled this place with the blood of innocents.

6Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

7And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.

8And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.

9And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

Oh, it doesn’t apply to us…we are not Israel.
No, we are not, but pray tell me; is America not guilty of the same things God has already condemned?
    Has God changed?

Powerline discusses Obama’s lying in Israel about not changing his “undivided” statement, despite the fact that he clearly did. He then went on to take credit for a bill that “his committee” had just passed. But he’s not on that committee. It’s either a blatant lie, or he doesn’t know which committees he serves on. I’d believe either.

I watched your link of the YouTube of Senator Obama’s speech of Jul 16, 2008 at Purdue University.

I agree Obama seems to say “bomb”, but I am not sure, perhaps it is just the audio, since he was born in Hawaii and mainly educated there through High School, it seems unlikely he does not know of the attack at least as well as you.

My newest favorite is “Uhhhbama.” But, there are so many fun ones to choose from, so it’s always subject to change.

Love how Uhhhbama makes a statement about “his position” on something, gets challenged on it, then takes a different/opposing position after being questioned, claiming that it’s what he’s “always said.” The very idea that this f*rt in a whirlwind is going to “save America” is hilarious! Odumbo doesn’t even know how many states there are in the U.S., where they are positioned on the map, or how many terms/years a U.S. President is limited to. Odummy isn’t the “solution”…he and his ilk are the problem.

“The Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is an international organization with a permanent delegation to the United Nations. It groups 57 member states, from the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, Caucasus, Balkan, Southeast Asia, South Asia and South America. Just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is my committee, a bill to call for divestment from Iran, as a way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don’t obtain a nuclear weapon.”

Hmmmm, the problem is that Obama is not a member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Obama just made that up so he could count the committee’s action as one of “my deeds.”

What a lying meglomaniac! And if we were to parse his “my committee” statement even further, Obummer makes it sound like he chairs a committee that he isn’t even a member of! Can you imagine the media outrage if John McCain had made the same statement. And I bet neverthink will carry Obummer’s water on this stupid claim, too.

It’s the remaining 20% that all of the TV ads, speeches, etc. are aimed to sway. Barring a 3rd party (like Perot who I understand ran - only because of his hatred of Bush 41) if one party or the other can sway slightly over half of the 20%, they have a win.

So excepting for a contrary Electoral College; 10+ % of registered voters will determine our next President.

Fred, I read 1 Samuel 8 the other day and it convicted me mightily. Israel asked for a king and Samuel was really, really mad. God told him to get over it because it wasn’t Samuel they were rejecting, but rather they were rejecting God as king. So he tell’s Samuel to tell the people all of the things that a king would do to them and so Samuel did, ending with this: “When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

But the people said, “No! We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles“. [for us]

That just stunned me. That’s Americans who want the government just to do everything for them!! And what did God tell Samuel to do? Help them get their king. Well, I thought about that and the fact that I wasn’t going to vote and I decided that both McShame and Obummer are candidates who think that the government should be king over the people. Voting for either one of them is going to give the American people exactly what they ask for. It scares me to death, but they will only learn the hard way as their hearts are hardened. And so, I am voting. :-)

  • 81 Fred Sinclair // Jul 24, 2008 at 9:10 am

Darthmeister #67 - I seldom, if ever, disagree with you. But on one thing I believe you’re wrong.

In the words of the late, great Ronald Reagan, ” It isn’t that liberals are ignorant, it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so,”

You write, “And I bet neverthink will carry Obummer’s water on this stupid claim, too.”

Now I haven’t read anything written by him (or any other troll) since I took the pledge and swore off of trolls, but to his credit et is not ignorant (or stupid). Misguided, of course - misinformed - of course. But Scrapplers tend to be very intelligent; well above the accepted norm or average. That includes our in house trolls.

I have to take the position that no Scrappler is stupid enough to carry water for someone whose primary endorsements come from the mega-millions of Muslims around the world and whose finances may well be carefully disguised donations from those same Muslims who are currently orgasmic in their dream of seeing someone named B. Hussein Obama in our White House. I lived in Libya long enough to know that Muslims take a person’s name very seriously.

For me to accept that B. Hussein Obama is - according to GMA co host Diane Sawyer who set up the Friedman critique by very carefully offering qualifiers about how “we know [Obama] is absolutely American. Absolutely a Christian.” would require that he make a full 180 degree readjustment on every position he has manifested to date. Rom. 6:4 holds that without a lifestyle change he’s all ’smoke and mirrors’. I think that it would require that he become a hardcore Conservative, somewhere along the lines of Inhofe and Jindal.

Now with his previously established intelligence; it would be impossible for et to be THAT stupid and ignorant, enough to carry his water - until such time as he [Obama], like the Christian hating Saul met Jesus on the road and became a Christian. Now THAT would something for the “Drive by” Media to cover!

Hitler, Chavez, Lenin, Castro, Mao were all agents of change. They were put into office because people wanted change. They didn’t discern what kind of change it would be, but just that it would be change. When Obummer makes comments alluding to his being in office for 8-10 years, I truly believe they are Fruedian slips that show us his true intent. He is a control freak and he plans to be in control.

I will say one thing that is troubling to me. Obummer is getting all of the discussion. We and everybody else is talking about what he says and does. There is no discussion about McCain. That is NOT good. Personally, I am having a hard time finding anything that I want to discuss about McCain and so I am just trying to get the word out about Obummer’s marxism. I’m sure that when God’s Chosen People were under the Pharaoh in ancient Egypt, they were somewhat chagrined in their slavery.
Why God chose them to be His people - only He knows, seeing as how they fought Him and turned from Him again and again.
He even went so far as in Hosea 3 to demonstrate that His love of His people was predicated on His will, not their will. Just as Gomer’s adultery could not dictate to Hosea’s will. [Then the LORD said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by a lover and is committing adultery, just like the love of the LORD for the children of Israel, who look to other gods and love the raisin cakes of the pagans.”]
It may well be that America has strayed away from God far enough that B. Hussein Obama is what He will use to get America back on the RIGHT path.

Being subject to a mulatto who is trying to pass himself off as a black or negro in an effort to become President by scamming real negro Americans into voting for him is going to give hypocrites a bad name.

As for me, I’m praying and beseeching God that He will have mercy on America. We need His mercy and hopefully not His judgement. From San Francisco across the fruited plains to the halls of Congress, we deserve His judgement.

There are many people in the world who really don’t understand, or say they don’t, what is the great issue between the free world and the Communist world. Let them come to Berlin. There are some who say that communism is the wave of the future. Let them come to Berlin. And there are some who say in Europe and elsewhere we can work with the Communists. Let them come to Berlin. And there are even a few who say that it is true that communism is an evil system, but it permits us to make economic progress. Lass’ sie nach Berlin kommen. Let them come to Berlin.

Freedom has many difficulties and democracy is not perfect, but we have never had to put a wall up to keep our people in, to prevent them from leaving us. I want to say, on behalf of my countrymen, who live many miles away on the other side of the Atlantic, who are far distant from you, that they take the greatest pride that they have been able to share with you, even from a distance, the story of the last 18 years. I know of no town, no city, that has been besieged for 18 years that still lives with the vitality and the force, and the hope and the determination of the city of West Berlin. While the wall is the most obvious and vivid demonstration of the failures of the Communist system, for all the world to see, we take no satisfaction in it, for it is, as your Mayor has said, an offense not only against history but an offense against humanity, separating families, dividing husbands and wives and brothers and sisters, and dividing a people who wish to be joined together.

Well, ET, he did a flagrantly horrible job if he was, because it’s kinda hard for a communist to denigrate communism and it’s kinda hard for an appeaser to admit that there are enemies who can’t be “reasoned with” and it’s kinda hard for a person who sits under a minister who says, “Not God Bless America, but God d*m* America” to proudly hold America as a light to the world or to acknowledge that his grandfather came to the US for freedom, not the WEST. I heard him say that and wondered if his granddaddy wanted to be a sheriff, a sodbuster, a famous outlaw or maybe a German or Englishman.
