(2008-07-20) — Republican presidential nominee John McCain today for the first time said he can now support a timeline to reduce the American presence in Iraq, specifically advocating the withdrawal from Iraq of Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama, and several battalions of U.S. news anchors and reporters.
“It’s time to bring them home,” said Sen. McCain at a news conference attended by a journalism intern from the Des Moines Register. “The surge has worked, and it’s time to redeploy.”
Sen. McCain said bringing Sen. Obama home would help to ensure that “people in the U.S., who desperately need media attention, will get the help they deserve.”
“Our mainstream media forces are stretched too thin,” he said. “If news should break here in the homeland, who’s going to cover it? We’re vulnerable.”

It’s clear the current press deployment is unable to perform effectively on two fronts, while its leaders have apparently taken its eyes off the ball. A full withdrawal isn’t necessary; we just need to support the fourth estate but extract the fifth column.

It’s a great idea but I doubt that it will fly. The messiah will bask in his glory with his congregation in full attendance. The Church of Obama Mania (do you suppose that means he’s tax exempt?) will continue to mesmerize his worshippers whether he’s in Iraq or elsewhere.

Redeploy Obamessiah to Okinawa before he turns Iraq into another Chicago ward.
Under the general heading of more Democrat lies:
We’ve heard from the Donks how ANWAR is a pristine wilderness and a “government reserve” that should never be spoiled by evil, oil-hungry capitalists.
But the real truth is ANWAR is not a “wilderness” but rather an icebound wasteland and it was only a “government reserve” in that under the Carter Administration the U.S. Congress “reserved” that area (Area 1002) for further oil exploration!
So just where do these Democratic twits now in control of both houses of Congress get off telling the American people they have to pay higher gas prices because ANWAR is a “pristine, wilderness reserve”? The sheer audacity of the Donks is truly breathtaking, but even more so is the lamestream media’s complete unwillingness to hold the Donks responsible for their multiple lies concerning ANWAR.
Of course liberals are very adept at lying like when they claim to be “pro-choice” when it comes to something immoral like murdering unborn babies but not for choice when it comes to school choice, firearm choice, or social security choice.

They choose to do it, so IDIOTS like Barack can do what he does.

I’m all for a “timeline” to get Obama out of our country, Beerme. And, how about a “timeline” to get the fawning liberal LSM sycophants out of our country as well? If these leftist group-think spewing liars aren’t “terrorists,” then no one is.

Maybe while B.O. is over in Iraq and Germany he can persuade their governments to pass a law, making all of their incandescent light bulbs illegal, so they can be “just like America”.
How many congressmen does it take to “Save America” from incandescent light bulbs?
A. Just enough to pass a bill making them illegal - 218.
Please take the time to listen to Texas Congressman Ted Poe addressing the House on the CFL bulb. His presentation is only 5 minutes…he will even make you laugh…but he does an excellent job of making his point against this legislation.
Congressman Ted Poe and 24 other congressmen have co-sponsored The Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act (H.R. 5616) to repeal the phase out of incandescent light bulbs. We can only hope that more congressmen will come to their senses and approve The Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act.
Thank you, Texas Congressman Ted Poe and all cosponsors for taking a stand for the health of “we the people”, and for our constitutional right to choose.

The current Democrat-controlled congress’ record is dismal, as attested by a 14% “approval rating”. One would think a rating this low would translate into a massive “vote-em-out-of office” election year defeat. BUT WILL IT?

There are lots of cracks developing in the AGW propaganda. Follow the news about the latest exceedingly credible whistleblower. The comments are good, too, especially the letter by climate scientists re the UN report.
Al Gore may be put more and more on the defensive over an indefensible theory/position.
This news should be trumpeted before either of our presidential candidates destroys our economy by embracing a myth.

Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
Renowned for its wildlife, Arctic Refuge is inhabited by 45 species of land and marine mammals, ranging from the pygmy shrew to the bowhead whale. Best known are the polar, grizzly, and black bear; wolf, wolverine, Dall sheep, moose, muskox, and the animal that has come to symbolize the area’s wildness, the free-roaming caribou. Thirty-six species of fish occur in Arctic Refuge waters, and 180 species of birds have been observed on the refuge.

Regarding ANWAR, btw - I’m all in favor of wildlife - the wilder, the better, if you ask me - but I think you should acknowledge that the Refuge is the size of one or two, or more, small states, while the area in which drilling is contemplated is relatively tiny. The comparison I’ve heard is a postage stamp on a football field.
p.s. They raised heck back in the day about the oil pipeline, y’know - and the dire effects it would have on the breeding habits of the porcupine caribou (whose populations subsequently tripled) - same tune, different lyrics.

Now we just can’t be drilling in our own 50 to 57 states and producing oil for ourselves… It will just make the muslomaniacs angry with us for daring to impede their economic warfare scheme. And we don’t want to make them angrier, so just shut up and pay through your bloody American noses! Still haven’t heard anyone talking about how this will bankrupt most of the citizens that heat with fuel oil. Maybe we could get every burrocrack in DC to pedal a stationary bike generator and switch folks over to ‘lectric heat…

As long as you keep the big D after the name, liberals will vote for the Antichrist. They will sing his praises in the street and send money to his campaign. Is Jesus Christ for or against same sex unions? Is he for or against the shedding of innocent blood? Is he for or against embracing false gods? As the physical Word of God, he has made his position on these issues crystal clear. Oh, this is just politics, separation of church and state! Separation of morality and candidates! Unless it is the “church of multiculturalism” with it’s platform of acceptance of everyone doing what is right in their own eyes. Peace…hope…love…yes brothers and sisters, we can change …!

Bober 26. Yeah, that ANWR is truly a paradise all right, situated, as it is, above the arctic circle! Maybe we ought to designate it a zoo, what with all that wildlife. And since there are thousands of square miles on which a human foot has ne’er been set we could probably discover the Darwinist’s missing link.

Hi everybody,
This is a special prayer request. My mom’s going into the hospital for heart surgery. She’s having cardiac catheterization done tomorrow (Tuesday, July 22) and surgery on Wednesday. She’s going to have one or two heart valves replaced and/or repaired. She’ll be at Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. Her prognosis is good, but she just turned 80 last week, so it’s always a bit scary at that age. Thanks in advance. I know you’ll be there for us.
God Bless and Best Regards…

That John guy is very witty, sure. That is why the prime minister of Iraq, even Pres Bush, and now,. even old John is talking about time frame.
simple fact: counter punching in this defensive way by McCain a sure sign that he is barely holding on to his opponent and unable to deliver strong punches to his opponent. His minion (would be Supreme Court justice Joe Lieberman) now says the surge worked. Ok. Iraq ready to replace American then let us get out! We can not at this point?Surge has not done what it was intended to do.
