(2008-04-17) — The chief political adviser to the Prime Minister of Hamas on Sunday said the terror group would like to see Sen. Barack Obama become the next U.S. president because “he has a vision to change America.”
One Obama campaign insider said, “Getting this endorsement is tantamount to picking up a superdelegate vote. But with Hamas, Sen. Obama didn’t have to compromise his principles or positions, or make any commitments beyond what he has already promised.”
The unnamed source said he expected the Hamas announcement “would open the floodgates” and the Illinois senator will soon have the support of what he called “the Carter coalition of global non-governmental organizations that support change in the U.S.”

In a little over 230 years the people of the USofA with that incredible document, The Constitution built this country to be the greatest nation in the planet’s history.
Countries with thousands of years of history; China, Russia, India, N. Korea, N. Viet Nam, etc. aren’t bothered with hoards of illegals trying to infiltrate their countries. To the contrary people in those countries are risking life and limb to escape to America.
So the Democrats want change the want to change America into another Russia. The Union of Soviet Socialist America. (USSA) With themselves as the muckety mucks running everything.
A lot of blood has flowed since 1776 and a lot more will flow in the future. Our number one enemy today is complacency. We really don’t believe the liberals are serious even as we see a multitude of our freedoms vanishing before our very eyes. Compared to our home grown liberals, the Muslims are nothing more than a bothersome annoyance.
The deer rifles are going to have to come out of the closet. Our next war will be “Civil War II” Not North vs South but Conservatives vs Liberals.
The major cities will become killing fields as the liberals are hunted down and exterminated. Or as an option, the Conservatives can just throw in the towel, roll over and America as we’ve known it will cease to exist. Americans will be risking life and limb to become illegal aliens fleeing to Cuba or Venezuela. Perhaps North Viet Nam would provide better treatment?
At my age I won’t be around to witness it and then there’s the very real possibility that Jesus will return. Or we may be entering the onset of the tribulation. It’ s going to happen and it’s got to start somewhere.

Please check the facts before committing yourself to a “Chicken Little ‘The sky is falling’ hoax. It’s a scam that has the gullible buying phoney ‘Carbon Credits’ and England already has injunctions forbidding the showing of Algore’s faked film “An Inconvenient Truth” without an accompanying caveat noting that 12 provable inaccuracies in the movie.

Fred, my apologies. I thought you had been advocating a war with liberals earlier in the thread, thought shooting them was part of your suggestion. Doubful that the Pope will shoot at you anytime soon (but then God did say to arm ourselves so one never knows for certain).
As for UN sanctions being ignored I believe His Holiness is referring to the UN doing something about that if they are so inclined. He even seems to be suggesting that no one country take matters into their own hands but again, I’m sure that view (and thus the Pope) is held as idiotic by those that frequent this site.

The chips may be big (around the legs or base) or using light taps and a tiny chisel an itsy bitsy chip (around the eyes, nostrils and lips). In any case you continue chipping away studiously everything that don’t conform to your idea, dream, plan or vision.
So with the perfect Socialist State as a vision, the liberals have been chipping away at America for decade after decade.
The previously mentioned (# 47) discrimination complaint about a “Speak English” sign is just another little chip. Spotted Owls, Darter snails, steel spikes in trees for logger’s chainsaws, phony claims about the moose and polar bears, bigger government, entitlement programs, higher taxes, same sex marriage, abortion, anti Christian agenda, etc., etc.
All with the singular purpose of remaking America in their own image. and that is why the must be defeated in the elections and hopefully not on the battlefields.

That definition of liberal doesn’t apply to those I see willing to take the name but be that as it may, socialist or communist is much closer to our form of government today. You can have your ‘rights’, just don’t complain about the restrictions that get put on them.
Socialists will let you run your mouth all day long because that represents no real threat. Own a firearm and see how many restrictions can be put on a ‘right’. Think you’re safe in your home? Anonymous call to the police saying they heard a gunshot(s) from your abode and knock knock, we’re coming in, then you get searched, house torn up and even if theres no gun, anything else you may have (antique sword) gets taken until the investigation is finished. Remember that this is also an eminent domain issue. A big part of the border security issue results from the fact we’ve let people buy homes and businesses right at the very edge — some of those smuggler’s tunnels we’ve heard of are little more than holes knocked through adjoining basement walls. Because of that, the border fence project isn’t just a matter of driving posts and stringing wire; it involves putting people out of their homes and businesses.
Now, we could argue for a long time whether letting land so close to the border become private property was a good idea (does The Gummint own land by default until, in its good pleasure, it grants it to a private owner?) but even if we decided who was at fault ten or fifty or a hundred years ago when a particular piece of property became someone’s home or livelihood, the fact remains that our entire Constitution was built upon, and designed to defend, the concept of defending of individual liberty against the power of the state.
The Soviet Union was able to build the Berlin Wall virtually overnight, and the United States certainly has the technical and engineering prowess to put up the Border Fence in an equally timely fashion. The difference lies in the fact that the U.S.S.R. put the state above the individual; homes and businesses along the Wall could simply be bulldozed out of the way for what was deemed The Public Good. Thank God the United States does not have such a cavalier attitude toward its citizens, but understand that our system does slow the wheels of progress from time to time.

I have often poised the question; “If someone offered you a brand new Mercedes for $100.00 with no ‘original’ paperwork, would you buy it?” Almost everyone said, “No.” their reason was that it could only be a stolen car. I cited that as my reason for having refused to buy a house, built on stolen property. With a few isolated exceptions most of the properties in America were obtained by someone in past history murdering the owners or driving them off to be relocated on “Reservations” sort of like was done to American Citizens with Japanese ancestry during WWII.
There are a lot of properties along the border that could be, and perhaps should be an eminent domain issue.
Better than using eminent domain to seize property because someone else can make better (more profitable) use of it.
So you will get no argument from me as I’m in agreement with what you wrote.
I doubt that the Louisiana Purchase resulted in Title,Deeds signed by the Native American residents; nor were they in receipt of any fair and equitable remuneration.

Bober, quit hiding behind manipulated definitions of “liberalism.” The liberalism of today is little more than warmed over neo-Marxism.
The founding fathers were what one would call classical liberals - believed in limited government, that every law-abiding, sane person has a right to bear arms in defense of onesself, family or country, that our unalienable rights were bequeath to us by God and not the State, believed in strong private property rights.
Tragically, recent history has demonstrated that those on your side of the aisle, though paying lip service to the concepts of founding liberty are actually opposed to the very substance of those things I listed above. It is you and the other brain-dead collectivist fascists on your side of the aisle who will prove to be opposed to the natural rights of man and lady liberty herself. How ironic that a person who spews so much rhetoric about personal freedom and resonsibility ultimately finds himself so wrong on the basic facts about real “liberalism”.
If you truly have an open mind, you would understand this reality when you read this non-partisan analysis of the kind of liberalism embraced by the American founders.
It’s been my experience that most liberals today are to the left of Stalin on moral issues and just to the right of Stalin on issues about central government and collectivism. I’m glad you said ‘one of’ instead of ‘the’ as I am all too familiar with “The Saint Petersburg Times” people I knew, working there I would upset by asking what bank they used to get their paychecks converted from Rubles into dollars? Pravada was more Christian Conservative than them.
A good friend’s daughter working for them (she acted and talked as if Jimmy Carter was in fact “God on earth”) when she tried to deny the liberal bias, I offered her a bet of $500.00 (with her father holding the wager) that I would buy for her two ’scrap books’; in “A” she would cut and paste all articles Pro America or Pro Reagan. in “B” she would put all articles anti American or Anti Reagan.
She would win if she filled one side of one page in book “A” or failed to fill both sides of all pages in book “B”, in one year. I made the offer in front of her father and not being a total fool, she rejected the bet. (I knew as well as she that I would win.)
