After Riots, French Ask: Why Do Youths Hate Us?

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 38 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2007-11-27) — After a night of rage and fire, during which rioting youths left 77 police officers injured in a predominantly-Muslim housing project in suburban Paris, the people of France awakened this morning to the obvious question: Why do youths hate us?

Overnight news reports from the neighborhood of Villiers-le-Bel described no common bond among the rioters, other than their age. In 2005, bands of youths rioted for three weeks, each night setting the Paris skyline aglow with flaming automobiles.

“We need to find out what it is about us that makes youths riot, burn cars, torch libraries and fire shotguns at police,” said an unnamed youth scholar at the University of Paris. “Is it a reaction to the historical oppression of youths by their elders? Is it the fact that our police have occupied youth lands, establishing stations and patrols and thus humiliating them?”

“Once we understand what we’ve done to set them off,” she added, “we can change our behavior and then, if they are willing, negotiate peace.”

Not so oddly, this sounds like what the lefties were and still are “asking” after 9/11. The trap is in the attempt to engage in their dialog. There is no mystery about it… bruts, criminals, radical religionists and the like all have the same goal. The PC crowd want us to attempt to answer their questions, instead of addressing the problem.
UNITED, we stand - DIVIDED, we fall. Stand UP!

Maybe they can give the “yutes” part of Paris in a land for peace deal. The “Religion of Pieces” does such wonderful things with the land they’ve been given in the past. We can only imagine what a “heaven on earth” they would create.

They shouldn’t let their children play with matches-dummies

How about shipping all of our cancer causing asbestos over to them?

How about promising two fire extinguishers in every pot, or pot in every fire extinguisher

Stoned out freaks are too bombed to riot, even those hookah smoking Arabs

The “yutes” hate the French because of America and George Bush. See, it’s that simple.

    moonbat mode/off

P.S. BTW, like serial killers getting their start with animals, these budding jihadists are getting their start torching French cars … which admittedly is not much loss since Citroens and Peugeots are laughers anyway.

Sarkozy more than survived the labor strikes; the people are behind him. Violence among the {ahem} immigrant communities was a major force behind Sarkozy’s election, and just might firm his political clout. France is slow to waken but a powerful force once it does, and I think the French may finally have had enough.

  • 8 Darthmeister // Nov 27, 2007 at 9:43 am

If gangs of Muslim “yutes” were torching cars in my neighborhood the vast majority of them would be seriously dead within a 24 hour period. Too many believers in the Second Amendment and hunters live where I do. I think my Vietnamese-American neighbors would be firing the first shots.

Hey all- For all those that have recieved an email about sending cards to Walter Reid… Here is something I recieved this morning, so it is just for your info. If you want to send it to others, be my guest…

    Ladies and Gentlemen:

I just received word from LTC YYY and Tim YYY that Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the U.S. Postal Service are not in a position to receive cards on a mass basis for our recovering soldiers. As a matter of fact, the U.S. Postal Service will trash them.

LTC YYY, after discussing the matter with the Public Affairs Office, recommends that those of us who desire to provide some type of support for our wounded warriors this holiday season, go to the America Supports You web site at [link]as they are a source for many organizations that serve our soldiers, sailor, airmen, marines and coastguardsmen.

    Here is another:
    jane@marinemoms-bethesda.org.

Cards should be postmarked by December 3rd. This will enable us to get the cards to our volunteers at Brookes AMC and Balboa Naval Hospital in time. Mailing address is:

They didn’t ask the obvious question: “Why can’t we all just get along?” That would have cleared it all up.

that happens to me also but my post always comes up eventually. I just close the site and reopen Scrappleface and there it is…

In asking, “Why do the youths hate us?” the French subconsciously reveal the very core of the answer.

Darthmeister Re: # 6 I’m sorry, my friend but I must protest. “….Citroens and Peugeots are laughers anyway.”

I’ve owned a lot of cars in my lifetime. At one time Puugeots were junk. The R-8 changed that. As for the Citroen, I’ll wager you’ve seldom, if ever seen a used one advertised “for Sale” in the Classifieds. Them what has them, keeps them.

One of Automotive’s best kept secrets - in it’s price range, both it and the English “Rover” are superior to the Mercedes Benz. My 1965 Rover 2000 is in my opinion the finest automobile in history to travel the highways of the earth. My Citron was only a fraction behind. Either better than the 2 MB’s I’ve owned. Quality fell off drastically at MB - today their best is no better than an American Caddy.

Today I drive a Hoveround (electric wheelchair) but I wouldn’t trade a 10 year old Citroen for the newest MB. I’m usually in close agreement with you but I have to draw the line at my beloved Citroen. (one of the very few things the French ever got right)

And have you looked at a Range Rover lately? It’s great - it’s wonderful, but it’s no match for a Citroen.

    Heirborn Ranger

I sold my woodburning TV, it was all just smoke and mirrors. Mostly smoke.

Perhaps these “yutes” are connected to some sort of “hate generator”? I wonder what that could be……

I wonder if it is a civil community that gets them all stirred up? Too much peace and quiet can be very unnerving to youngsters.

  • 22 mindknumbed kid // Nov 27, 2007 at 9:14 pm

That might be why certain folks from the religion of pieces hate us, all of that pork in Washingtown.I gotta admit that it gets to me pretty often too.

  • 23 mindknumbed kid // Nov 27, 2007 at 10:23 pm

I don’t want to know how good the cars are for driving or reliability, what really matters is how well they burn. What brand burns longer, brighter, and hotter ? When you’re fixin’ to riot it’s good to know how to do it most effectively.

  • 24 mindknumbed kid // Nov 27, 2007 at 10:36 pm

My first car was a ‘68 VW Beetle, the floorpan was rusted out really bad ,so my brother sealed the whole thing up with some roof paint. Well it was alright for a while, until one day when the fuel line ruptured while racing across a corn field. Raw gasoline and a hot exhaust pipe got things going with a bang, and that roof paint burned for hours, in fact we gave up on extinguishing the flames, cut out the gas tank and left it to burn itself out. The completely rebuilt engine was a total loss, but the rest of it wasn’t much to begin with. I paid $50 for the car, what a deal!

  • 25 mindknumbed kid // Nov 27, 2007 at 10:38 pm

And now you know the REST of the story.

  • 26 mindknumbed kid // Nov 27, 2007 at 10:55 pm

Back on topic - Why is it that the ones acting civilized are at fault and the ones rioting and creating chaos are not at fault ?

Why didn’t this come up when I was a young child and facing “the razor strap”. . .

    mindknumbed kid,

Then, maybe you should let up a little.

You know how you said the public schools back in West Virginia put the dumb kids in the same class with the smart ones?

It looks to me like that should have worked in your favor!

Heck, if your name was Bush, you could have gotten a Harvard MBA that way.

    Scott, shouldn’t the headline read:
After Riots, French Ask: Why Do Youths Hate U.S.?

Some French are still stuck on stupid as they become more Islamified in the name of “multi-culturalism.” Like the Buddha statue that was blown up by the Taliban in Afghanistan some years back, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Eiffel Tower brought down one day by jihadists. But then we’d only be hearing more moonbat conspiracy theories about how it was Bu$Hitler/Cheney/RoveHimmler/Halliburton/Exxon junta that wired it for demolition.

    Noah Pollak at Contentions:

Annapolis is really about the Bush administration, not the peace process. It has been Condi’s pet project; she has shuttled to Israel and the Palestinian territories on a monthly basis for almost a year; she has been permitted by President Bush to prioritize a quixotic diplomatic endeavor over and above other crises that by any sensible measure are of far greater concern for the United States—Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Syria and Hizballah, and Pakistan, to name a few. If Condi’s pursuit of the peace process is due to a belief that solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is possible and will unlock the forces of moderation and conviviality in the Middle East, then, well, she is simply a fool. If it is because she wishes to add this most elusive accomplishment to her legacy, then she is a narcissist.

From Jimmah Carter to present, such utter stupidity among our diplomatic corps and the State Department is mindboggling. Every “agreement” ever reached between the Israelis and the Palis have been immediately broken by the latter. And then when the Isrealis respond in self-defense the world condemns the “Zionists” (leftwing and Islamist code for Jews). Because its rarely reported in American newspapers until a busload of innocent civilians are blown up by some kook jihadist Pali homicide bomber, the Palestinians either shell, rocket, or attempt to blow up innocent civilians in Israel virtually EVERY day.

The only state these kind of murderous animals deserve is that part of the 80% of old Palestine which lies within the borders of Jordan. How about the Middle East Arabs giving some land for peace to their Pali brethren they claim to care so much about, eh? Naw, that would remove any leverage the Muslims have against the Joooooooooos in Israel.

Agatha Christie played an integral role in my life; I’d read all of her mysteries by the time I was 13. I traveled the world. I learned languages. I learned proper behavior. I learned history. I learned analytical thinking. I learned to appreciate art. The list goes on. Above all, however, I learned to love reading-oh, how I loved to read.

    From TheDay.com:

The events of recent days make clear that the underlying causes of frustration and anger — particularly among unemployed, undereducated youth, mostly the offspring of Arab and African immigrants — remain the same.

Hmmmm. Seems to me that France could solve all their problems if they just implement the Mexican immigration model…

    From Human Events:

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:

    * Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.” (Article 32)

    * Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents. (Article 34)

    * Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics,” when foreigners are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when “they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy.” (Article 37)

    * The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.” (Article 38)

Sounds like the way to go. Hey, maybe we could that here too, eh?

  • 35 always right // Nov 28, 2007 at 1:15 pm

That’s what I’ve saying, the French are the most understanding people on earth. You’ve gotta admire them for that.

Imagine yutes burning cars in Philadelphia streets, the mayor and the President asking residents to have more understanding, and promising to form committees/spend money to find root causes. The city of brotherly love won’t even hesitate for two minutes (the first minute will be recovering from the shock by authorities’ messages) before they act.

  • 36 always right // Nov 28, 2007 at 3:18 pm

Seriously, did anyone ask how come these yutes have “firearms” in the first place? I thought (in europe) they don’t allow this kind of things.

  • 37 Darthmeister // Nov 28, 2007 at 10:44 pm

Wasn’t it in Philadelphia that black Mayor Wilson Goode oversaw the fire bombing of an entire city block?

I understand when black Philadelphians are polled about Goode’s corrupt reign in Philadelphia he still gets something like a 70% approval rating! Talk about Stockholm Syndrome.

  • 38 always right // Nov 29, 2007 at 4:31 pm

    Darthmeister,
Yes, you are right. Politics and corruptions run hand in hand in this region (NJ, Eastern PA).

The new PHL mayor-elect handpicked the top police commissioner a week ago, guess what, he’s an “outsider”, and therefore the move was seen as “controversial”. Local news reporter dug up dirt from the new guy’s past. There were four grievances:
    (1) When he moved from Chicago to DC, he brought along a few of his guys
    (2) He asked the FBI to investigate corruption within the DC police dept
    (3) He re-assigned badge numbers (the big controversy??==> Some cops grew attached to their badge numbers)
    (4) DC cops arrested protesters during the IMF meeting

That’s it. No mention of how effective the commissioner is or how no-nonsense his attitude. With the continued record-breaking increase in murder cases and # persons killed in PHL for the past four years, all the msm care about is how PC he is.

    Unbelievable.
