DNC: Adviser’s Criminal Past Shows Thompson Is Lazy

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 20 Comments

(2007-11-04) — The revelation that one of Fred Thompson’s four presidential campaign co-chairmen was busted for drugs within the past 25 years “simply goes to show how lazy Thompson is,” according to a source at the Democrat National Committee (DNC).

“When you hear that Fred has a top supporter with a criminal record more than two decades old,” said an unnamed DNC spokesman, “it makes you wonder if he’s simply too lethargic to go out and hobnob with folks who have more recent citations, arrests and convictions. Does he really want to win, or not? If he were vigorously campaigning like our Democrat presidential candidates, he wouldn’t have to rely on such antiquated stuff to get him into the headlines.”

The DNC source said the Republican presidential hopeful should be “especially embarrassed that, despite his work as a Hollywood actor, he has failed to attract much support from people with more current records of accomplishment. How can he expect to take on someone like Sen. Hillary Clinton unless he can pull substantial votes from the extra-legal community?”

The anonymous senior DNC official offered this advice to Mr. Thompson: “If you can’t run with the big dogs, get back on the porch you old basset hound.”

The dims must be worried about old Fred. But I was on a legal website yesterday that was doing a poll on Hillary and Rudy, Rudy was up by about 16 points on it.

I guess the libs don’t believe in second chances, or that the legal system is capable of turning a person around. Or, GASP,the person found the grace of God through Christ…..

See !!! There it is, five minutes late.
I love that line “the extra-legal community”.

It’s amazing to me that the libbers don’t get it. The only way to cinch a Conservative victory in ‘08 is if Mrs. Bill Clinton is the liberal’s front runner. I wouldn’t want to be Obama for all the tea in China. If Mrs. Bill Clinton deems him to be a serious threat to her run for the White House………………..he might have a serious run of very bad luck.

I read that Mr. Vincent Foster once had a run of bad luck .

The media and the talking heads want to control the process by setting a wild pace and like the RINO candidates dance to their tune. Fred seems to totally reject this. And they hate him for it.

While Mr. Bo Jangles Rudy tap dances his way twirl any which way just to get votes.
Slow and steady wins the race….

I’m not so sure ol’ Fred aint doin’ some tapdancing, but if he’s honestly for what he says he’s for, we’ll find out soon enough.

heh, folks. Just got in from a lovely Sunday drive and a trip to Lowes. What a spectacular day.

Ms Rightwing, Ink: I just got onto my email and read your notes. Will call you after I get supper on the table.

Scott and the rest: I think that Fred’s biggest mistake was not taking Ms Clinton’s lead and getting more cash from extremist Muslims. He is lazy! Go Fred!!! (I joined his friends of Fred website - go join too)

To make amends I think Fred Thompson ought to go out and find multi-millionaire Chinese donors to support his campaign. We know that’s something that sHrillary does very well and if the liberal media doesn’t at least laud her for her creative financial support they at least turn their heads the other way WITHOUT PASSING JUDGMENT!

Maybe then we news consumers could get some peace and quiet.

What this country needs is a President named Fred!

I guess I’m just too lazy to have a different favorite candidate right now…but in the (unsavory!) event that Giuliani gets the Republican Party nod, I’ll still vote for him over Mrs. Clinton. Any day…

Basset Hound! C’mon, that is the official mascot of Shelly’s Cafe. Maybe that is why nobody comes around anymore.

“it makes you wonder if he’s simply too lethargic to go out and hobnob with folks who have more recent citations, arrests and convictions.”

Hillary’s current crop of “extra-legals” is in constant current communication with the legal/court system. That’s “recent” enough for me.

Now we know why the Dems started the campaign a year early — to corner the felon market — there are so few not on their payrolls now that opponents have to bring them out of retirement.

Despite his occasional lapses from Reagan Conservatism, I like Mike.

News Poll: Most Qaeda Members Happy with News Polling

I wonder when the Dhimmiecrats will start advocating for al Qaeda “freedom fighters” to have the right of absentee voting in our national elections? Now there’s a solid Dhimmiecrat constituency.
