(2007-11-01) — As Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton continues to work round the clock with advisers to determine exactly how she feels about granting automobile driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, the Senator today announced she may support New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer’s new proposal to allow undocumented workers to receive airline transport pilot certification from the FAA, allowing them to fly commercial jets.
“Giving a pre-documented immigrant a license to fly a jumbo jet would certainly bring him out of the shadows,” said Sen. Clinton. “In addition, since the flight certificate requires fluency in English, it would inspire him to learn one of our nation’s most important languages. So there’s a big potential upside.”
Although the senator said she had some concerns about national security, she also noted that “If the pilots of the four planes that crashed on 9/11 had applied for licenses, someone at the FAA might have seen those applications as cries for help, and our government could have delivered the counseling and support services that those alienated young men so desperately needed.”

Did you read Hillary's explaination re the
two answers she gave at the latest Democrat Roast?
……and you say she has no sence of humor.

A pre-documented immigrant, eh?
That’s a new euphemism to me…

Excellent, Mr. Ott!

Good Stuff Scott!

“as cries for help, and our government could have delivered the counseling and support services that those alienated young men so desperately needed.” Ah… the essense of Oprahfied liberal compassion and hindsight. Excuse me while I go heave.
BTW, real good one Scott!!

If they fly like they drive, it won’t take long to need to replace our aging airliners. It will be a boon to the airplane industry. The dhimms are such forward thinkers. Always willing to help out lagging industries. Hence the term progressive. Of course, some passenger’s surviving family members may object, but with the offer of some free travel, that won’t be a problem.

Hawkeye, that’s a rather imperialistic viewpoint don’tcha think?

It would only be a flying license, no need to show the ability to land

What ever happened to the good old days when all the nuts just wanted to hijack the planes to Cuba.
Doesn’t anyone like to go to Cuber anymore?

Well, 9/11 certainly proved this would be a way to bring down walls.

Can you picture ‘AIRFORCE UNO’ in our future?
16 boberinyetagain // Nov 1, 2007 at 9:53 am
At least she was for licenses before she was against them…probably…maybe…kinda…sorta.
Can’t we make this easier on her people? Just tell her what you want to hear and she’ll be all over that viewpoint. Simple!
17 Maggie // Nov 1, 2007 at 10:00 am
Why boberin, that’s the closest thing to a Republican comment that you’ve ever made. Taking the lead from The Hill ,are you?
18 boberinyetagain // Nov 1, 2007 at 10:40 am
Maggie, I’m not who/what most folks envision, that’s almost certain.
Throughout time what people say to get elected often bears little resemblance to what they do after the fact…so my opinion of Hillary is not surprising/groundbreaking.
That being said, she will not get my vote but last night did not change that.

boberin #10,
Hawkeye, that’s a rather imperialistic viewpoint don’tcha think?
What’s that? About English? Well, I guess so. After all, we did break away from the English, er… British “Empire” didn’t we?

Airforce Uno - is that the card game the Prez plays while he’s flying around?

Hey,that’s another great possibility.
23 boberinyetagain // Nov 1, 2007 at 12:29 pm
But “breaking away” should have prompted us to choose a new language. The illegals are just trying to help on that score. Pretty unimaginative keeping the English language!

Boberin, if you have ever tried to talk to Brits, you will find that we do speak two different languages. I believe it occurred when our forefathers started calling cancer sticks “cigarettes”. The British have a different term.
Scott, I kid you not. I got online this morning and saw my email from Ranger with the title of this thread in the subject line and I yelled at my hubby that Hillary was actually looking into issuing pilot’s licenses too. (The son is getting his). It didn’t seem out of the realm of possibility and so I just swallowed it hook, line and sinker. Sign of good satire!

Boberin, one of the funniest moments in our family was when playing a game of Balderdash at a party, one of our daughters (who was high school age at the time) insisted that J. Edgar Hoover invented the vacuum cleaner. We haven’t let her live it down.
28 boberinyetagain // Nov 1, 2007 at 2:06 pm
Rather that than what he ultimately became famous for! Posterity did that man no good, that’s certain.
That is funny.
When my daughter was young we told her to go brush their teeth and she balked, said she needed one of us to come with her. When asked why she said with a straight face…”the TV says that brushing alone is not enough” which was of course the tag line for Listerineâ„¢ at the time. We still giggle about that one
29 conserve-a-tips // Nov 1, 2007 at 2:42 pm
Ah yes. And we think that commercials have no impact!! That’s funny. Do you remember the Preparation H commercials where the lady that advertised them had horrible blue bags under her eyes? I thought those were the hemorrhoids and just dreaded that I might get those.

Hillary’s dhimmi-rat opponents had better beef up their security details…the Evil Queen doesn’t like to be criticized or crossed. And, Tim Russert had better watch his back, since he has made Madame’s sycophants very angry.

bunny, I’m sure many in her entourage either called in sick or are cowering somewhere hoping not to be noticed. Especially those that are supposed to brief her going in. Heads have surely rolled today. Bill is in the basement pretending to be fixing something.

Who knows where “pre-documented” aliens lurk? The Shadow does…
Scott hits another one out of the park. This one sounds too much like the twisted logic of the Hillary Spin Machine. Frankly, I wouldn’t be unhappy if her perpetual-motion campaign would simply crash and burn. Madame Hillary is carrying too much baggage as it is.
Tim Russert and Chris Dodd had better watch their backs. Lady Bountiful-with-Your-Bucks is not happy.

Boberin, undoubtedly El Slicko is staying out of range today, although I highly doubt if those two ever occupy the same room, or the same house, if they can help it. And, as for those “briefing” Mrs. Bill Clinton, that has to be a challenge, given the many positions she verbally takes on issues. Problem is, her real position is always going to be the farthest one to the left…somewhere to the left of Karl Marx.

Is any license given to a person who is not legally entitled to have and to hold (a little wedding lingo there) be a legal instrument ?
I am no legal expert, but it just seems to me that the answer to that question is absolutely no.
I saw on newsmax where Hillary used the occasion of the Russert questions to try to get more campaign funds, wah, it’s not fair - and I don’t have enough money to defend myself, wah, wah, wah….
41 mindknumbed kid // Nov 1, 2007 at 8:34 pm
I am not a legal expert, I just have to ask this question: If a license is given to a person who is not legally residing within a said jurisdiction, is the license valid ? I believe the answer to be no, absolutely not. Anyone more knowledgable care to weigh in on the idea ?

Since Hillary has had so many face lifts ,I think those are hemorrhoids under her eyes,C.a.t.,and she carries that excess baggage of hers, on her hips,OLA. Of course some of that baggage is shredded documents,as in “there is not one shred of evidence”.

hillary-ousfunny watching Mrs. Clinton’s people try to play both sides of the fence — give because she showed her strength against all those males, and give because she’s a poor defenseless girl. As in everything else, her actual position is fluid.45 gafisher // Nov 1, 2007 at 8:44 pm
This goes further back than 9/11; the whole concept of giving pilot’s licenses to aliens should have been moot since 07/08/47.

Now that I think more on that, isn’t that just about the most common thing that comes out of either of the Clinton’s mouths when there are accusations ? Sems as though I’ve heard them say that more than a few times - and I never wilingly hear either of them speak.

Hey, if you give an undocumented alien a license, he can mot0r-voter his way right into a voting booth… just in time to pull the Dem lever. All the poor schlub needs is a license and a SS card, and we know how difficult it is to produce one. Wink, wink!
