New Tape: Bin Laden Calls Insurgents ‘Pack of Sissies’

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 86 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2007-10-23) — In a newly-released audiotape, al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden spoke directly to Muslim insurgents in Iraq, calling them “a pack of sniveling sissies for collapsing in the face of the recent U.S. military surge.”

“When I see how you cower,” Mr. Bin Laden said, “I’m ashamed to wear the flowing robe of Muslim boldness and the fierce, yet festive, headdress of a jihadi. I have wives who are braver than you…several of them.”

The al Qaeda mastermind noted that his own “courageous concealment” has stymied U.S. attempts to kill or capture him, while he ridiculed al Qaeda in Iraq fighters as “pathetic little pigs trembling at the voice of the big bad American wolf.”

“Why don’t you all shave off your beards,” he asked rhetorically, “and apply a nice cucumber-scented moisturizer to your smooth, hairless faces? You don’t deserve to enjoy the glory of the coming Muslim caliphate. You’re not worthy to lick the drippings from the wall of my cave.”

Isn’t this hate speech? Should he be warned he is in violation of American laws? “a pack of sniveling sissies” sounds like gay bashing to me.

If ENDA H. R. 3685 passes and becomes law - Perhaps Harry and Nan could bring them to America and install them as Scoutmasters?

Did bin Laden also mention President Bush’s veto of the SCHIP program where families making $80,000/year with children 25 years old would qualify for lower healthcare costs?

It certainly would show how UBL is a true man of compassion and a devotee to the religion of peace by wanting American children to grow up strong and healthy compliments of a nanny state so the “little Eichmanns” can be lovingly beheaded at a later date.

    off topic…..prayer alert:

Please pray for ‘da Bunny and others in the SanDiego area. She had already received evacuation orders yesterday and had joined her hubby at his office.
Today the news is even more ominous, and thousands are leaving without knowing where they might find safety.
I know ‘da Bunny can count on our faithful Scrapplers. Thank you.

Oh goodness, Maggie. I didn’t realize that Da Bunny was being affected. How awful. It is terrible to watch those poor people on television. My sister is not sleeping at night because she is expecting to have the word that they will be evacuated as well. The fires are about 12 miles from her house, more north. Their schools are closed because of smoke. Prayers are going up for all.

My old abode in California is burning also (Saugus and Stevenson Ranch). I don’t much care for Ohio, but at least I don’t worry about those nasty Santa Anna winds. So tell me, what keeps terrorist from starting fires during these windy times.

If you live, or have lived in Southern California you learn to hate this time of year because you are still a month or more from the rainy season.

Say, doesn’t the Avon woman ever knock on his cave door. A little soap and water and who knows, Ol Bin Boy may not smell like a cave dweller.

  • 18 Darthmeister // Oct 23, 2007 at 9:30 am

Global warming didn’t cause those fires, BU$HITLER DID! Just like Shrubya used Karl Rove’s Weather Control machine to guide Hurricane Katrina to New Orleans where he later ordered the levees to be blown up, he obviously commanded lightning to strike dry kindling to start this whole conflagration sweeping through southern California.

More seriously, my prayers are heading heavenward, da bunny. May your home be spared and if not, may God give you the grace and the resources to rebuild even a better home. Be a shining light during these difficult times knowing that if God takes notice of every sparrow which falls to the ground, how much more does He care for those redeemed by the blood of His Son Jesus Christ?

It doesn’t get any better than this, folks. Hank,
Everyone knows that peace has broken out and that oil revenues have exceeded expenditures on the war for about 3 years now. Add to that the cash we got from the sale of Iraqi artifacts early on (plus the sale of those WMD’s) and you find that George has himself a nice little account in a Swiss bank and is laughing himself all the way there.
But war is good for business, thus our itching to attack someone, almost anyone, else. The good news is bound to leak out sooner or later and then what?

God Bless all of my fellow Scrapplers for your prayers and good wishes. Yesterday’s evacuation for the area we live in here in San Diego County turned out to be a “voluntary” one due to the extremely poor air quality we are experiencing. Thus, my husband, dog and I were able to come back home for the night, and are still here this morning, Praise the Lord!

This being my “first” SoCal fire, I can tell you that it’s an experience I could have lived without. There are fires to the north, east, and south of us with very little-to-NO containment, as yet. It’s a scary situation, and one which requires constant vigilance, since no one can accurately predict where the winds will take the flames next. I’m as prepared as one can be in a situation like this, and I know that the prayers of all of you good, Godly people are with us here in SoCal. Thank you all…

    Oh, I forgot…it’s all Bush’s fault. ;-)

  • 29 mig // Oct 23, 2007 at 11:54 am

Good to hear that you are safe da’bunny, maybe even safe and sound.

And it is Bushs’ fault. Look at his way of dealing with this crisis… he is sending in the military, the national guard. Hope they aren’t the ones from Abu Ghraib, we ‘ve all seen those photos!

Watched the Hillary video. (yawn) She does it over and over and over again, and NEVER gets called out on it. Is anyone else bored with the lack of interest from the media? Does anyone ever expect the media to regain a shred of respect from this nation?

    Stay safe da Bunny.

Glad to hear that you are at home Da Bunny and hope that you remain that way, safely. Having been through a prairie fire here, I can only imagine what you are experiencing. If UBL mentioned he’s for the S-CHIP, he will be one of the front runner of Dem party in 08. And he might just be able to get 25% of the vote.

  • 32 Darthmeister // Oct 23, 2007 at 2:14 pm

It was either Senator Feinstein (D-Moon) or Representative Barbara Boxer (D-Moon) who just today whined to the media that since over half (I doubt that’s true) of the state’s National Guard assets are in Iraq, the California conflagration is far worse than it should be. Damn smart fire, I’d say.

Didn’t the DimDonks try this National Guard tactic with a tornado disaster in Kansas earlier this year? Even that shameless whininess didn’t fly because it’s long been true any state that finds itself truly short of National Guard resources only needs to ask other neighboring states for an assistance which would be there within the day.

Just one more reason I despise lying liberals who are not above using natural disasters inorder to advance their pathetic political agenda of hate - and they’re apparently callous enough to do so in the midst of an ongoing disaster! What hubris.

  • 33 Darthmeister // Oct 23, 2007 at 2:15 pm

I think it might be closer to 35% of the vote … but then you’re always right.

  • 34 onlineanalyst // Oct 23, 2007 at 2:22 pm

Jim Garaghty over at “The Campaign Spot” in NRO made this observation about BinnyBoy:

Boy, Osama bin Laden is acting weird, even for a psychopathic mass-murderer, isn’t he? First he had that dyed-beard video message mocking the Democrats for not getting troops out of Iraq, and now he’s sounding like a coach trying to keep his team motivated.

“I want this team to come together, and show a group effort above individual desires… Clearly, it’s a rebuilding year for the Iraqi insurgency. We had some injuries to some guys who thought could make a difference… This team has to get past memories of the glory days with Zarqawi, we can’t focus on the past, we’ve got to look ahead to our next opponent. We have some young guys who we think could blow up next year. The upside of getting beaten by a U.S. surge and an improving Iraqi security forces is we get a high draft choice next year.”

Re that Peter Paul (excuse me, but I always want to add “Mounds” to that name) video: Did he say that Team Clinton did a rendition on him to silence him? Bubba had instituted that practice during the “halcyon” days of his presidency, a fact that the media seem to have dumped down the memory hole.

How soon will Google® dump that YouTube evidence because of pressure from Queenie and the DNC?

For your entertainment and in answer to Madame Hillary’s desire for a campaign song, here is a devastatingly brutal musical montage, complete with a hip-hop refrain.
(We’ll pretend that hip-hop is “musical”.)

Boberin, our state finally took the bull by the horns and said that if the federal government wasn’t going to uphold the law, at least the state government would. They had to pass a law to enforce the law, but at least they did. Within weeks, 25,000 illegals left our state. And the funny thing is that our economy is still thriving and people are working. Hmmmm. Then, the Mexican group representing illegals filed suit in court calling the law unconstitutional and tried to have an injunction issued. This very morning, the glorious news was that the courts had thrown out the case. You see, here we believe that everyone has a right to work and everyone has the opportunity to thrive IF legality is involved. If laws have been broken, then you don’t continue adding wrong upon wrong just because it is the “liberal” thing to do. If those from other countries want to come here to live and work there is a process that must be followed. Otherwise, it isn’t fair to those who do follow the process. And we all know that you liberals are all about everything being fair, right?

  • 41 boberinyetagain // Oct 23, 2007 at 4:20 pm

c-a-t, fair enough but it did used to be a tad easier to “get in”
My experience is admittedly limited to the 10-20 folks that drive up to Pa each year and occupy the house 2 doors down from mine. They work at a local landscaper. I suspect (but would not think of investing the time to find out) that at least some of them are “illegal”. I do know they seem very industrious, very well mannered. They work every day, lots of hours and keep mostly to themselves. They do add a fair bit of “spice” to the neighborhood, they party as hard as they work but not to the point of being bothersome.
Stereotypical in almost every way but I can’t think of any reason to complain about them. But that’s just me…

On a somewhat lighter note… back in April 1975, during my “enfant terrible” years I happened to be in Florida to visit a friend and we ended up going to the dog races. The thing that I remember most was that before the dogs left the starting gate a mechanical bunny circled the track for the dogs to chase and as it approached the starting gate a voice intoned, “And heeeeeere comes da bunny!!”

So… have you ever spent any time in Florida? Hmmmm? And, if I might ask, where did your nom de plume come from? Inquiring minds, well mine, want to know.

These illegals are doing the chores the current generation young Americans wont do.
So get some recipes and make sure they trim the junipers!

Boberin, it has never been easy to get into any country because in order to preserve a society there must be laws. But I have a friend who came here nearly 30 years ago and just now got her citizenship and her journey has been anything but easy.

But be that as it may, think about this: When an establishment opens with ‘x’ number of square feet in the building and with ‘y’ number of memberships available in order to accommodate the membership in a reasonable and safe fashion, the first enrollees may be taken at a quick pace. But as the membership fills and spaces become fewer and fewer in availablity, the vetting process becomes tougher and tougher. If you were to open your home to just anyone who wanted to come in, you would eventually have to put a stop to it, throw out some to accommodate others or just plain move out of your home. It isn’t a hard concept to understand that this country has laws governing a certain number of spots and that those obeying the laws should get the spots and those who aren’t have to leave.

As far as the nom de plume, the first person to ever refer to me as a “bunny” was my father, who called me “Bunny Rabbit” after my favorite Captain Kangaroo character. It usually got shortened to “Bun” most of the time.

When I was dating my husband, he started calling me “the [it came out "da"] little Bunny,” even though he didn’t know that my Dad called me “Bunny,” as well. Thus, I guess I must resemble a bunny, since people keep referring to me as such. :-)

Libby, these guys aren’t mowing the neighbors lawn or trimming the hedges (not as a day to day thing) and even at that I never said that Americans wouldn’t do those jobs (but they wouldn’t do them as cheaply and what American would pay a living wage to those tending the lawn, it’s unpatriotic). I used to work with nearly all Puerto Ricans and, if they were any indication, there were few recipes I wanted.

Adapted grom my earlier e-mail to camojack

Dingy Harry said the fires in S. Cal. are due to global Warming.

Nah - Probably an adaption of the device Bush used to drive Katrina into New Orleans.

While I believe He will protect good ones like da-bunny, her family and folks like her.

The libs won’t consider that God maybe considers S. Cal. to be even more of a Sodom and Gomorrah wannabee than SF - with the anti-God liberals in the film industry, the illegals with their out of control ‘gangs’, and the liberal, athiest, Professors and students on the USC campuses. They may have succeeded in out SFing SF. The S & G citizens were early liberals and pretty stupid. Wanting to have sex with an angel - right from the start that’s a bad call. I would have picked up on that right away.

As a Conservative I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but I’m not stupid either - or as Ann said “If Democrats had any brains, they would be Republicans”
What if libs are bing given a tiny peek at what awaits them in hell - for all eternity? - Like - Who knows?

One reason why we have the fires in California is global warming,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters Tuesday, stressing the need to pass the Democrats’ comprehensive energy package.

Speaking of Wal Mart- what happened? The last few weeks has been good press for Wal Mart. Did they cave in and go union?

And speaking of press, we must be winning in Iraq, because no news is good news!

    Boberin,
Walmart thrives because they understand the dynamics of the free market. They also pay well for the work they hire for. If anyone applies at Walmart and expects 6 figures, they better be applying at the home office for upper management. Those “associates” earn decent money, I know as I am closely related to someone who worked there for 15 years. There are plenty of possibilities for advancement also. Problem is most Americans are of the entitlement mentality and want instant gratification. Hard work and patience is not in their vocabulary. Like abstinence it is successful EVERYTIME. Living wage, honestly is pseudo psycho babble for welfare.

    Darth,

You have given Godfrey food for thought! You know what happens when the faithless start thinking.

Personally, I believe in Santa even more since I had kids.

  • 66 Darthmeister // Oct 24, 2007 at 10:44 am

More examples of what the left-wing nutbags mean by “respecting free speech.”

Zombie has this photo essay of the abuse and intimidation heaped upon those promoting Islamofascism Awareness Week.

Keep in mind Zombie is/was an old school liberal and is thoroughly disgusted with the liberal comrades who have been tracking further and further left in their hate and insanity the last six years.

  • 67 Darthmeister // Oct 24, 2007 at 10:47 am

    Welcome back, Godfrey.

I also don’t believe in trolls and fairies, though neverthink is getting me to rethink that possibility.

  • 68 Darthmeister // Oct 24, 2007 at 10:56 am

BTW, regarding the photoessay above, notice how the morons on the left and Muslim fundamentalists refer to those who of us who see Islamofascism as little different than Nazi-fascism as racists

The thugs and goons on the left refuse to recognize the fact we are specifically criticizing the ideology of fundamentalist Islam because it gives them a straw horse argument.

Now, from here on out can you radical twits remember this simple fact: MUSLIM ISN’T A RACE!

    re:67

As a professional storyteller (retired) I beg to differ with you on the belief of trolls, fairies, Santa Claus and other suspected non-existent entities. These creatures do exist in the minds of millions of children and likely thousand or so grown ups, such as I .

Without these creatures, much of literature and verbal storytelling would cease to exist and children everywhere would then be forced to believe in Fidel Castro, Hillary Clinton and numerous Hollywood created bogeymen as depicted in movies like Halloween and subsequent 3,000 other follow-ups to the same movie..

Yes, the troll under the bridge ate unruly children and faerie dust made them fly. That is what creates imagination and freedom of thoughts. Hillary on the other hand brings lawsuits against all the little creatures of Forestland for cluttering the minds of children, instead of learning how to be good little lesbians and gays.

Long live faeries (the original type), hobgoblins, trolls and Old Ladies in the Shoes. I rest my case

Now that DREAM is dead (final vote was 52-44 for cloture, falling eight votes short), I can’t wait to see what underhanded method they will try next.

  • 75 JamesonLewis3rd // Oct 24, 2007 at 1:51 pm

Durbin had the gall to tell the Senate that DREAM Act opponents will bear “the mark of Cain.” Too funny.

  • 76 da Bunny // Oct 24, 2007 at 2:12 pm

Again, thanks to everyone for all their prayers and good wishes. :-)

Godfrey, I hope your friends/family who are in proximity to the fires are all faring well. Yeah…my “first” fire season. An experience I could’ve done without, I can truthfully say.

So far, things are OK where we are, except for the smoke and ash in the air. The air seems a bit better today than it was yesterday. I can actually see the sun, and patches of blue sky! We’re in coastal North San Diego County, and the fires are to the northeast, east, and southeast of where we live, although none are currently close to us. I’m impressed with the way that San Diegans have really “stepped up to the plate” as far as evacuations, charitable donations, and cooperation with local authorities is concerned.

Muslim chants, “Death to America”, attacks military reserve guards and authorities say this isn’t an act of Muslim terrorism!

bober will probably point out the Muslim’s mommy says he’s insane so big deal, right?

Maybe the truth is radical Islam will cause some people to “go insane” but what they do is still an act of Muslim terrorism.

JL3rd #74 - “Now that DREAM is dead (final vote was 52-44 for cloture, falling eight votes short), I can’t wait to see what underhanded method they will try next.”

The way a sculptor sculpts a statue; the way the homosexuals gained recognition. Chip, chip, chipping away…10,000 chips = 27+ years now they have laws giving them “hate crime” victim status. A few more “chips” and they’ll have a federal law requiring they be hired by those who have moral reasons to not hire them. An end run around the Supreme Court’s decision that the Boy Scouts, as a private organization cannot be required to accept homosexuals as Scoutmasters. Chip, chip with that law they will be required to hire them for the job . Private or not-

That’s just what the libbers will continue to do with DREAM. Every time they lose, they’ll just reword it slightly and bring it back, again and again and again. A liberal win in 08 will merely hasten its becoming law.

James and Fred, re The DREAM ACT: First of all, go here to find how your senators voted.

Second of all, notice how John McCain voted…..He didn’t!!! And third, notice how Hillary and Obama voted. They voted for it.

I called McCain’s office yesterday to tell him that we would be watching to see if he really did hear the American people on immigration as he has been saying on the campaign trail. Sitting out the vote is NOT hearing the people.

Finally, there are three other bills that are similar: S.774, H.R.1221, and H.R.1275 . Watch to see if they bring any of those up.

  • 80 JamesonLewis3rd // Oct 24, 2007 at 5:27 pm

Yes. McCain blew it today, in my opinion (I’m no fan of his anyway).

He was actually there. He flew in from IA to vote for some judge somewhere but then absconded before the DREAM vote. He’s going to have a hard time explaining that, I think.

  • 81 JamesonLewis3rd // Oct 24, 2007 at 5:29 pm

    da Bunny, Godfrey: Be safe!

Somehow these events suit the times, don’t they? The orange, glowing sky … columns of smoke … the aroma of sulfur … did either of you happen to see Nancy Pelosi out there practicing on her fiddle ?

  • 83 Darthmeister // Oct 24, 2007 at 5:55 pm

The U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could cost taxpayers a total of $2.4 trillion by 2017

By year 2017? I’d say it will be worth every penny.

IMO the cost of inaction would have been far greater and resulted in emboldening Islamofascists while at the same time giving them the breathing room they need to build up their forces of evil even more.

The real question is: How much did 9/11 cost America? It is estimated the one day’s impact on the American economy (as well as replacement cost of the Twin Towers) was close to ONE TRILLION dollars - exclusive of the 2700 innocent Americans’ lives that were snuffed out that day.

Given the undeniable reality America hasn’t suffered another 9/11 since taking the battle to Islamo-fascists and an Arab thug dictator who had demonstrated himself to be a destablizing nutbag, if the liberal media wants to put a price tag on freedom and security then let’s put all the cards on the table.

Also, another dirty little secret is whether acting as security forces in Iraq or redeployed back to American soil, the American military has a substantial baseline cost. Apparently this is not taken into consideration when running the numbers on troops deployed abroad. This is another numbers game that the anti-war moonbats play.

And to show how much liberals love to lie, has anyone else heard the last three or four months how “this Iraq war has already cost America one trillion dollars”? The Iraq war’s actual cost is a little more than $400 billion. Keep in mind, the same military contigent would have cost American taxpayers nearly between $125 to $150 billion over the last four years if stationed here in America.

Redpepper, my sister saw her, but she said that she didn’t have any fiddle of any kind. She said that she was holding a broom. :-)

  • 85 da Bunny // Oct 24, 2007 at 10:54 pm

RedPepper #82…I haven’t seen Pelosi out here fiddling, but “Nero” Boxer was out here fiddling in San Diego today. She actually gave some credit to the federal response…the “liberal attack dog” job in this instance has gone to CA Lt. Gov. Garamendi, who has been all over the airwaves bashing Bush over the past two days. In fact, he hasn’t done anything but bash Bush, and I’m sure the Sacra-demento crowd is very proud of “their boy.”

  • 86 conserve-a-tips // Oct 25, 2007 at 10:21 am

da Bunny, yeah, but I heard Bush on television yesterday and he said that he didn’t give a “flyin’ fiddle!!” :-)
