(2007-01-04) — United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, distressed at the recent execution of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, today announced a new U.N. program which would eliminate any future hangings of former Iraqi government officials convicted of heinous crimes.
Dubbed the ‘Clemency for Food’ program, it would offer the democratically-elected Iraqi government a cargo ship full of grain for every convicted mass murderer that the government pardons, and half of a shipload for each death sentence commuted to life in prison.
Mr. Ban said he has asked his predecessor, Kofi Annan, to work as a consultant overseeing the distribution of food “due to his wealth of experience running the old ‘Oil for Food’ program.”

This new show, Little Mosque on the Praire ( I kid you not) should make Kofi Anan feel better about the decisions he made with Hussien (and that would be Saddam Hussien not Obama Hussien) , after all Muslims are known for thier sense of humor.

From the last thread tgtbtu came up with his input it was the last post, but I couldn’t let it go unchallenged.
The fact is, gwb is unable-and was never able- to even remotly comprehend the damage he has done to US by invading iraq. As a traveler, I can tell you, I have NEVER experienced such level of hatred towards US in the world; And this is a very bad for us- will take decades to undo, if we are lucky.

“REMOTLY”??
I doubt that Georgr W. Bush is trying to win a popularity contest with the world. To be “hated” by:
North Korea
North Viet Nam
France
Cuba
Iran
Several Islamic countries (who don’t hate us, they just want to kill anybody that isn’t them! and we’re in their way.) is a high level cpmpliment.
And if we’re so hated, how come so many millions of illegal aliens are risking so much to flee their country and sneak into America.
And those countries that hate us, there is pure envy in it’s higest form. The fact that these countries envy and hate us so, there’s no higher compliment they could pay us.
I’m happy and proud that George W. Bush has done such an astonishingly wonderful job as President. If he could run for re-election I, and millions of other AMERICANS would vote for him in a heartbeat.
Actually, it’s losers like yourself traveling about bad mouthing your president that give ihe image in some minds, the picture of the Ugly American.
tgtbtu - Why don’t you take your hate America Communism back to your Commie Masters and report that all is well with America and our President.
Then go crawl back into your spidey hole. And quit trying to impersonate some of our beloved Trolls, you’re not very good. Actually to be totally honest; you’re silly.

I’m convinced that none of these “peace-niks” and liberals who are so concerned about capital punishment and the “feelings” of criminals and murderers ever got their butts whipped as a kid.
I learned very early that bad behavior can have negative consequences. It’s amazing to me how many people on this planet want to excuse bad behavior… including murder. I think a lot of people will be surprised at the prospects of hell.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” -Matthew 7:13-14
“the hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.” -John 5:28-29

So the “world” hates us, eh? Once again the liberal socialists and Islamofascists of the world unite in a common hatred of the constitutional republic of America. What strange bedfellows.
Looks like most commies and liberal socialists just can’t wait to greet their Islamic overlords in their various homelands. After all, car torchings in Phrance are down 20% as the Phrench make real efforts to “reach out” to budding Islamofascists. Ho hum, what else is new, right fred?

Fred!
“… our beloved Trolls,”
I’m very grateful, and humbled to think I might be included with these.
Those words from you, mean more to me than they ever could from a Democrat.
I’d even like to try a bowl of your bean soup, after watching Henry taste it, of course.
Nevertheless, I must return to the Yankee blue of granddad’s 3rd Kentucky Cavalry, USA, and you, I presume, must return to the Rebel gray of the CSA. (We all know how that turned out!)
Thanks,
ET
ps If you should want to surrender now, I think, I can get you a deal. It’s Henry, with the pointy hat, we really want!

PS We recaptured The Capital today, as you know. I think, I can get a deal for you, if you surrender now! However, tell Henry, you know, the one with the pointy hat, his goose is all but cooked!
