’60s Bomber Ayers Repudiates NY Times, Obama Links

by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 32 Comments · · Print This Story Print This Story

(2008-10-04) — William Ayers, founder of the radical Weather Underground group which carried out a bombing campaign against U.S. targets in the 1960s, today attempted to distance himself from both Barack Obama and The New York Times.

Mr. Ayers distributed a news release in response to the Times’ 2,100-word investigative story, originally titled “Obama Has Met Ayers, but the Two Are Not Close” and later re-headlined “Obama Met Ayers By Accident, Worked with Him Unwittingly, Can’t Recall What He Looks Like.”

“I don’t read the mainstream media propaganda rags,” said Mr. Ayers, now terrorist emeritus at the University of Illinois at Chicago. “The New York Times and the rest of them are just tools used by The Man to deceive the people of the world. If I had the sixties to do over again, I’d bomb them first.”

As for Sen. Obama, whose political career Mr. Ayers helped to launch, and who served as chairman of Mr. Ayers “education” project in Chicago, the professor agrees with the presidential candidate that they barely know each other.

“Just because a guy lives in your neighborhood, starts his run for the White House in your living room, and helps you channel millions of dollars into a program to teach kids what kind of country we really live in…that doesn’t mean we’re close,” he said. “That’s like saying the dude I saw in the hardware department at Wal-Mart is my best buddy just because he showed me where the fuses were…and then gave me some bread to buy them.”

In the NYT whitewash of the Obama-Ayers connection, at least the “journalist” was forced to admit Oblahblah downplayed their relationship. Why is it this seemingly endless trail of anti-American nutbags show up on Obama’s resume? And we’re suppose to believe unrepentant homebrewed terrorists and radical black nationalist have had absolutely not impact on his worldview? Now there’s a story that the lamestream media will studiously ignore … until after the election.

BTW, I would like to take issue with Joe Biden’s debate lie that “Dick Cheney is the most dangerous vice-president ever.”

That’s a demonstrable lie. That honor falls to Aaron Burr who killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel while Vice President of the United States. Mr. Burr was obviously a better shot than Dick Cheney.

Yeah, really…it’s quite a stretch to make that connection, huh? ;-)

I just heard Obama’s response to Governor Palin’s frank statement that Obama got his start in politics. Obama says “their lying.” But even the New York Times has mentioned it. Oops. All those records Obama’s henchmen tried to suppress are being released.

It had to hurt to have the truth start to filter out. According to a union democrat I talked to today, the Obama campaign wasn’t worried before because they were convinced no one on their side would believe it. I was also told that they have a lot to worry about because even union democrats hate people who try to kill cops with bombs and then brag about it.

    9/11 made bombing politically incorrect.

cj #5 - You know that there is nothing wrong with either Senator Obama or Mr. Ayers that Jesus Christ can’t fix, repair and make new again.

Now Dingy Harry and Nasty Nancy might be somewhat of a stretch, but given the invitation, Jesus could even make them new again.

Could be a great plot for a new movie.Done on a grand scale in the manner of The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, QuoVadis, The Big Fisherman, etc. The world gets to witness these big name Liberals (one or more) do a 180 degree turnabout with their lives.

A pipe dream? Certainly (you can do anything in a movie - Superman flies, Space Ships land, etc.) it’s a pipe dream but I know there’s coming a day - and it won’t be a movie either, when every knee shall bow.
Is. 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Rom. 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
    Phil. 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

The Leftist “revolutionaries” of the ’60’s are still in denial that, at best, they are nothing more than second-rate knock-offs of Charles Manson, the Boston Strangler, Pee Diddy or Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili.

Their credo: Lie Continually, Lie Loudly. Laugh a lot.

I may wheel myself downtown tomorrow and see the American Carol-if it is playing in our 95% Democratic city.

Remember and set your DVR to “Hannity’s America” EXPOSE: All of Barack Obama’s Radical Connections (FOX News on Sunday 9 pm EST.

I am putting fliers up all around our building so the oppressed and down-and-outers here can see who their man really is.

Actually when O’Bama was asked if he wanted to meet Ayres, he misunderstood what kind of person he was. He was told Ayres was a bomber, and Barack, just having taken some hits off a bong and a few lines of “blow”, thought the person said Ayres liked to “get bombed”, and Barack being a “partying” type of guy himself, wanted to party with him!

    Quite innocent!

  • 14 RepublicanAttackMachine // Oct 4, 2008 at 10:35 pm

Mack re#2, I agree. I hear O.J. is looking for a good SAFE cellmate. Maybe Ayres is just that guy?

In all seriousness, I hope O.J. now turns to GOD to deal with his fate, and maybe being incarcerated may save his immortal soul!

I just finished a 50 question test on whether I should vote for McCain or Obama.

I just do so love it when I get to be right. (Of course as a voting member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy - I’m always right)

From the McCain camp, they’re happy that I “aced” the test with a perfect 50 out of 50. they weren’t so happy when I told them I wasn’t voting for McCain but rather for Sarah and some guy that’s running with her.

My vote won’t count for much but it will at least cancel out one of the Democrat’s “Graveyard” voters. Or if I’m lucky my vote will cancel one of the Democrat’s ‘illegal alien” votes.

When it comes to the murder of his wife, I may be the last person on the planet to believe him; but until I get to Heaven and God Himself tells me otherwise, I don’t believe he did the crime.

Yes Fred, Prison Fellowship is a very worthwhile charity. I have donated to them and believe they do good work.

Most prisoners are very receptive to hearing about Jesus! We as Christians should do all we can to reach them, especially if we do not do what God tells us to do, “visit them”!

“…the professor agrees with the presidential candidate that they barely know each other…”

Heh. That isn’t what Stanley Kurtz has ascertained, after pouring through what’s left of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge papers at UIC. Obama and Ayers are both communist liars.

OT. My husband and I saw “An American Carol” last night, and laughed our way through it. The theater was packed, and the entire audience broke out in “boos” and “hisses” when they played the trailer for “W” right before the feature film started. Loved it!! :-)

R.A.M. Re#13: I heard it the other way ’round — the relationship blossomed when Ayers thought he was being introduced to “Barak, a bomber.”

Fred Re#7: “Could be a great plot for a new movie.

You’ve GOT to see “An American Carol.” While it may be that only Cecil B. DeMille could turn back Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the Яed Sea on film, David Zucker has convincingly made a, um, donkey speak sense.

    Morning all!

Here’s a great article about Stinky (BO)’s leftist leanings from a mainstream media publication, the WSJ:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122263955732783787.html

It’s kind of long, only because there’s soooooo much information, and definitely forward worthy to those who have swallowed the coolaid of hopeychanginess.

Also, an informal poll by MargeinMI:

On an errand to Port Huron the other day (a bastion of unemployment and low income folks) I did a quick count of lawn signs on about 5 miles of residential streets. Total: about 12 Obama/Biden, including 3 Teamsters for Obama, and only 3 McCain/Palin. Needless to say, I was disappointed. The next day, I had another errand in a town about 30 miles from me. Traveling there on 2 lane blacktop past farms and such, I lost count of how many McCain/Palin signs I saw-at least 30 or so. And not ONE SINGLE Obama sign!!!!! I was reinvigorated! YAY flyover country!!!!!

American Carol isn’t in Gillette - yet. I almost went to Rapid City yesterday with the wife, who did go, and it is probably playing there. :(
I think that there ought to be something done about the fraudulent voting in Ohio. Can’t we file suit to require validation before the votes count? I am not against anyone exercising their right to vote, many have sacrificed to give us this right. But it needs to be valued, it ought to be protected, allowing potential voter fraud is dishonoring everyone that fought for it. If you are willing to do these kind of things in order to win, you are an immoral, and undeserving of the office to which you are elected, so if I were the candidate…

  • 25 Darthmeister // Oct 5, 2008 at 10:01 am

My McCain-Palin sign got trashed today. I guess the Democratic brownshirts were out in our neighborhood last night.

Marge, here in our neighborhood Obama signs outnumber McCain signs probably ten to one. I guess most conservatives in the neighborhood (ours is one of the more conservative districts that have elected a Republican to the U.S. Congress and the lone Republican to the city board) don’t want to have their cars keyed by the fascist Donks who live around here. Keep in mind, most of those Obama signs were up six months ago when those moonbats knew even less about the Chi-town hustler than they do today. I think their mantra goes something like this: I’m voting for Obama even though he’s a crook, a documented liar and has had a history of associating with American-haters because he’s my crook and liar.”

When I pointed out to our local Obamatons in a recent letter to the editor that Obama’s political history has its roots in one of the most corrupt political systems in America - the Chicago Democratic Party machine - and he has this unerring attraction for American terrorists and radical black nationalists, one moonbat wrote me, “Even Jesus dined with sinners.”

That may be, I wrote back, but aren’t you now comparing Obama to Messiah even though you deny you will deny Obama is your messiah? After all, how did Obama change his conspiracy-addled, black nationalist pastor after a twenty year “association”? He didn’t. So how in the world is this empty suit going to make good on his promise to “change” America … except to make it more socialist and radical?

    Doh!

You can’t make this stuff up. CNN correspondent Soledad O’Brian proves two things: some women are indeed bad at math and … the lamestream media does have a biased narrative they are promoting despite the evidence to the contrary.

See the hilarious video clip here.

    Way Off-Topic~~

Within many of the exciting episodes of The Mod Squad (1968-1973), a stoic Clarence Williams III commanded Solomon-like authority when he demonstrated his sage wisdom and said, “Solid.”

The liberal media engages in racebaiting again.

The latest twist, and I mean twist, is the media ginning up its anti-Palin assault by claiming her connecting Barack Obama with Bill Ayers … now get this … IS RACIST! Yep, just mentioning Obama’s name or connecting him with any other person on the planet is somehow racist in these journalistic morons’ minds.

Remember when the McCain campaign ran an ad that had a white woman in it, it was subsequently denounced as racist? And when it ran an ad that had an African-American man (Franklin Raines) in it, it was denounced as racist? Now the McCain campaign links Obama to a white man, the former terrorist, and still anti-American, Bill Ayers. That’s racist too. I think we’ve exhausted just about all the possibilities except maybe connecting Obama to illegal space aliens.

As other conservatives have noted regarding the liberal media’s constant injecting of race into this campaign, about the only non-racist thing McCain can do is concede the election!

Liberals are disgusting liars who rarely miss an opportunity to play their race card. What pathetic, intellectually dishonest people.

    JL3 re#27,

If Clarence had only known about the O’Bama “fist bump”, he may have been the first black Prez!

  • 32 gafisher // Oct 6, 2008 at 6:33 am

The McCain Campaign (AKA ‘Sarah’) is addressing the Obama-Ayers connection. Maybe a response to the infamous 1982 ad is in order, something linking 1968 and 9/10.
