Columbia a disparu avec sept astronautes à bord

"J'en ai peur, à cette altitude il n'y a pas vraiment d'option"
Translation: "I'm afraid, at that altitude, there is no real option."
-- A NASA official quoted in Le Monde.
May the Lord comfort the families, friends and colleagues of those who gave their lives this morning.

This puts all of our petty problems in perpective.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silverd wings;
.. And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

"The same creator who names the stars also knows the names of the 7 souls we mourn today. The crew of the Shuttle Columbia did not return safely to Earth, but we can pray they are safely home."

President Bush--2/1/03

Everything else seems meaningless...they are all in my prayers. God bless those brave souls who gave their lives for what they believed in.

Take time to grieve, name some elementary schools after Columbia, but build another.

Hail Columbia and her final crew!

Larry King was interviewing Ashliegh Banfield and asked her, "Why didn't the Columbia crew just run down to the transporter room?" She replied that she did not know, but she thought there just wasn't enough time.
